2. Brand Identity
This is how a brand is shown throughout different platforms, in this case it would be how
the artist is shown through different media products such as the music video, digipak and
magazine advert.
For a brand identity to be successful the artists image must be cleverly extended through
careful choice of colours, images and font. At least one of the different media products
must clearly promote one image of the artist.
3. My Brand Identity
Across the music video, digipak and magazine advert we have created a brand identity for our artist.
Our brand identity is made up of costume, colours and style. I have included the same costumes in
all 3 media products, the costumes were thought out carefully during the planning process so that
they represented our artists personality – showing an artists personality through their brand identity
makes the audience more likely to relate to them.
Considering the text and font seen in the digipak and the advert, I chose to follow the theme of the
red colour in the statement coat to create the title for the album, this creating a brand identity as
seeing that deep red colour would remind an audience of the artists coat and think of the two
together.
4. Selling through the digipak
This image inside will persuade our audience to buy the
album as the locations are suburban, places that young
people tend to be attracted to.The street art in the image is
interesting for young people and is something we feel would
catch their attention.
The font I’ve chosen for the
artists name to feature on
the front of the digipak I feel
will help sell the album as it
ties together the ongoing
theme.The way in which the
words appear intertwining
gives a professional look and
sort of abstract – art usually
associated with young
people (our target
audience).
This really simple close up image of
the artist I think will help sell the
album when considering the kind of
audience will be buying it.The artist
in this image sits proud, and is seen
as a strong character – something a
younger audience will be attracted
to as she is portrayed as a role
model.
The extra panel included
in the digipak serves the
purpose of a clue as to
who else will star in the
music video.This makes
it more interesting for
an audience as they
know there will be
someone else featuring
in the song – giving
them another reason to
buy the album.
Similar image used on the inside
panels of suburban area, the street
art is seen again, attracting a young
audience and encouraging them to
buy the song.
5. Selling through the magazine advert
The font I’ve chosen for the artists
name and name of the album is the
exact same of that on the front of the
digipak. Having these the same creates
a brand identity for the artist as the
consumer will be exposed to the same
thing repeatedly, immediately linking
the two products together.
Stating what tracks are going to be included in the
album will help to promote as I’ve featured the ones
which are popular already to the audience.
Very much similar to the digipak, the same
statement coat and red lipstick has been used
to create a theme for the artist.Very similarly
to the digipak, the artist is stood with an
upright posture portraying a positive role
model.
Including the artists own website reaches out to the
target audience as the internet is something they are
most familiar with. This serves a direct link between
the artist and the consumers as its creating links
between different media products which they are able
to access.
