  1. AT THIS MOMENT, WE ARE GONNA TACKLE THE ASSESSMENT FOR, OF, and AS learning. So, in this disussion, we are gonna dwelve upon the differences of the three assessment of learning. kung ano nga ba ang assessment for learning, assessment of learning and assessment as learning.
  2. The preposition “for” in assessment FOR learning implies that assessment is done to improve and ensure learning.
  3. This is referred to as FORmative assessment, assessment that is given while the teacher is in the process of student formation (learning). It ensures that learning is going on while teacher is in the process of teaching. in short, it happens DURING THE INSTRUCTIONS. ongoing process itong si formative assessment. here, in the formative assessment, walang masasasyang na panahon at oras kay maam and sir pag lagi nilang chinicheck ang understanding ng mga students nila every now and hen. and as a future educator, this kind of assessment is a need for us to learn kung paano i manage ang ating mga students. checking if your students understood the discussion can ensure that before he/she proceeds further or comes near the end of the chapter, unit or course or grading period, the students understood the lesson. It Is tragic and a waste of time if teacher just proceeds with his/her teaching presuming that students understood the lesson only to discover at the end of the unit or grading period that students after all did not understand the lesson. So much time has already been wasted. Besides, lack of understanding of the lesson must have been compounded because the “ABCs” of the lesson weren’t mastered and teacher already proceeded to “XYZ”. Too late to discover thatat the end of a unit or a grading period the students did not learn what was expected of them.
  4. so ano nga ba ang mga examples nito? we have QUIZZES pretest and postests.
  5. kadalasan pagktapos ng isang topic, mapapansin natin na si maam or si sir, nagpapaquiz. so they do this in order for them to assess if may learnings bang nakukuha si student at ano ang mga topic na medyo tabingi. one of the examples din ay yung mga seatworks, at pati na rin yung discussion. discussion isalso considered as assessment for learning. during the discussion, pwede itama ni teacher yung mga iniisip ng mga estudyante na mali, pwede rin nyang i clarify yung mga points na nalilito si student
  6. In Assessment FOR Learning, teachers use assess. Ent results to inform or adjust their teaching. When in the process of teaching, teacher discovers that the students did not understand what was taught,teacher adjusts her/his instructional strategy. One did not work and because it did not work and expects better results he/she has not to repeat the use of the same strategy.

It occurs throughout the teaching and learning process to clarify and ensure student learning and understanding. -Assessment OF Learning is usually given at the end of a unit, grading period or a term like a semester. here it is the summative assessment kung saan you are starting to evaluate your students capabilities at the end of a term or a quarter. ano ano ang mga examples nito? we have the final examinations. so during the final examinations, lahat na ng topics, lahat na ng concepts na tinuro ni teacher, doon na siya lalabas. titignan ni teacher kung talaga bang nakuha ni student yung mga tinuro niya. second exmaple is yung mga board exams, the licensure examinations so it is a state or nationsl level examinations. it is like a summative assessment din. ginagawa siya at the end as a summary of learning.
  8. kung ang assessment for learning ay during, assessment of learning is after, paano nmn yung assessment as learning? well, both. kapag sinabi nating assessment as learning, as being you. the teacher here is making the stuents have the freedom to assess themselves. here, -Assessment AS learning is associated with self-assessment. As the term implies, assessment by itself is already a form of learning for the students. dito minomonitor ni student yung progress nya, yung mga natutunan niya, at the end of the day, pati narin makakakuha siya dito ng mga feedbacks for improvement. so ano ang example ng assessment as learning? meron tayong tinatwag na self assessment. si student lang mismo, tinitignan niya ang sarili niya kung ano yung di niya alam, ano yung nalaman niya atkung ano yung mga gusto niyang malaman. yung parang KWL chart na meron tayo example yun ng assessment as learning. pangalawa, meron din tayong tinatawag na peer assessment. hindi lang si student, kse kadaalsan, limitied lang ang perspective pag intrapesonal lang kaya pwede tayo kumuha ng kaklase o kaibigan na makakatulong kay student para na mas ma assess niya yung sarili niya kung meron ba talaga siyang nautunan in the end of the day katulad ng ginawa ni maam marianne dati sa atin na biny pair niya ang quiz para may sharing of thoughts and ideas na magnap between the students. in that way, masma aaasess nila kung my natutunan ba talaga sila sa discussion. pwede din na maggive si teacher ng criteria para makapag set ng goal ang mga sudents at mas accurate yung mga gagawin nila.
