Descriptive Essay About My Life
Life, it's a cruel, but funny thing. Life will throw you multiple obstacles just to get you to one point, message, or lesson. It'll give you the most
horrible situations, but give you an outcome of happiness and love. This is what I went through. I went through an obstacle in life that showed me
that it's not worth it to be harsh, cruel, or mean to your loved ones or piers. This obstacle showed me that we allow ourselves to let our emotions in
the way of the truth and in the way of love. This obstacle shaped me to be the person I am today. Now listen to why I give these reasons. Why I say
what I say. Listen to my story of how I came to be, through love, anger, frustrations, and death. Maureen Xavier, the life of the party, the

We all thought it was old age. Over the months she passed out 3 more times. Now I knew something was wrong, everyone knew something was
wrong. My grandmother wasn 't smiling as much and had a face of pain, but that face was soon gone when someone stepped into the room. I knew
she was hiding something, I knew she wasn't letting us know how she was feeling. I went to the hospital with my grandma multiple times, it was
becoming a daily routine for me, but one day was special. My grandmother, dad, grandfather, and I all went to the hospital to get my grandmother
checked out for once and for all. I remember sitting in the waiting room, watching as my grandfather comes out with a face of worry. I asked what
was wrong. It turns out my grandmother had stage 4 colon cancer and it was bad. The cancer was so bad to the point that chemotherapy couldn't
fix it. I would sit on the couch watching my grandmother lay on the red reclining chair that squeaked every time you moved, just staring at the TV.
It was at this moment when reality hit me, and it hit me hard. My grandmother who was practically my mother too was extremely sick and is not
going to get any better. I looked at her and everything changed in her appearance. She no longer had the full head of brown hair, but a baldish head
with grey hair. She no longer had that full figure, but a sickly and bony, pale body. Her face didn't have a smile, but when it did, it was forced.
Looking at her, I

Descriptive Essay About A Hero
When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies
between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when
things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero"
the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and strong.
She doesn't run away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for others no matter what the situation is. What is a hero to you?
On September 24th of 2017, my parents, along with my sister and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the afternoon. My
aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo,
everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was
going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to
Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the
sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved

Descriptive Essay About Personal Experience
Fear, guilt, happiness, and anger are emotions which individuals can be struck with at the most unexpected time, but as human beings, we have
experienced all of these feelings a plethora of times over the course of life. Emotions and feelings are the results of one's actions that lead to situations.
The way an individual acts, speaks, or even discerns can lead to circumstances and ultimately trigger emotions, which in the end, possibly provide you
with a valuable lesson.
The glorious summer of 2008 resulted from the sun and air's collaboration to fulfill my desire to have balmy weather. The trees composedly swayed

I got very restless as she opened for business, since I didn't know how to spend my time, I lead my feet to the coolers located on the far opposite side of
the checkout area that were filled with different types of waters and juices. Although I was tempted to pick out a juice, I chose a strawberry flavored
water, and I decided to save the juice for later. With my drink, I happily walked to the candyaisle that was in between the tobacco and cigarette aisles.
My eyes couldn 't locate the KitKat wafers, my all–time favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort of my chair empty
handed. I felt like a sportsperson who just came home defeated from a championship game. My eyes ogled at the rack, from a great distance, while
my heart wept and yearned for the treat. My mind, the biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the aisle. With a small ray of hope
buried deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and inspected the candies again. The nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I
inspected each of the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on
the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started celebrating, while my mind remembered to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I
approached my mom and asked her by faking a naive look,

Losing Someone Essay
Losing Someone The world seems to stand still when you are told. That feeling you have never felt before, of total sadness. You feel faint and
dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say,
you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of there, to escape, runaway anything to make this
feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had happened after everything. Part of you wants to cry your heart out and the other part wants to hit

They did exactly say how long she had, but they thought it would be a few days but she even proved them wrong on that. She lived for another
four amazing weeks! The last words I said to her was that I loved her and goodnight because she was going to sleep, I'm so glad I got to tell her that
because I wanted her to know. The funeral was the biggest challenge, actually having to say goodbye. So many people were there because she was
such an inspiration, a whole sea of pink, her favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how
special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt like she was actually there with us which was a
huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so
close to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she
wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her which now I've found out is perfectly normal. The whole time she was ill I never thought she

Descriptive Essay About Personality
1.Descriptive Essay Nothing But Personality It was my first day at the school, I got into the building where I was going to live. My eyes searched
carefully from the door of one bedroom to that of another for my name which ought to have been pasted on the door of one of these bedrooms. At last
I found it. On stepping into the bedroom I found there was already a student who was making her bed, She was thin, short and black–skinned. Her hair
looked like a bundle of straw. Her dirty clothes and lusterless eyes clearly indicated that she had a long journey. Her clothes were made of cheap cloth.
Her coat was too short, and the legs of her trousers were too loose. She wore a pair of unfashionable rubber shoes. And all her looks made me feel that
she did not look like a smart girl. "A yokel," I concluded. The second she spoke, her accent told me that she was from the south. "May I help you get
your luggage from the office?"
I did not decline her help because I really needed it. She was quick in movement. She walked out of the room and
was soon far ahead of me in the corridor. "A nice girl," I said to myself. "I will make friends with her." I hurried and caught up with her. Sometimes
outlook does not mean anything about personality. 2.Original Poem I Hear The War I hear the rapid crackle of automatic gunfire in the darkness. It

Descriptive Essay : My Unforgettable Travels
My Unforgettable Travels Visualizing a picture in your head can be so captivating and it can bring back memories you'd never thought you would
remember. I visualized a picture of a love lock bridge in Paris, France because it is something that stood out to me when I was traveling. Everything
about this area was amazing and breathtaking. I will always remember traveling to France and Spain because of how different other countries are than
the United States. Going to these places really made me love exploring and learning new things about the world. When going to France, I really
depicted it as a different place than it was. I thought it was going to be just like New York City with a little touch of different people. I was so
incredibly wrong. I went there in February of this year and ever since then I can't wait to go back to different countries. The lifestyle there was so
serene and mesmerizing all at once. You felt this almost joy of just walking into certain places. I went to multiple different places there. For example, I
went to the Palace of Versailles, Hotel Des Invalides, theEiffel Tower and then art museums with painting like the Mona Lisa and much more. These
places were spectacular and so different. The work of every building was hand crafted and made me wish I could live in Paris. The people there were a
little rude to Americans, but that didn't stop me from trying to converse with them as much as I could. I would always look up different

Descriptive Essay About Beauty
I think our minds are obsessed with beauty. We envy those we cannot be. We strive to have this picture perfect life, or something close to it. When I
was younger, I was never out going or the kid that talked all the time. That just wasn't me. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I thought I was pretty,
but in my mind, to be truly beautiful, one must possess other characteristics beyond the physical realm. To be exquisite, perfectly, and wholeheartedly
beautiful, one must be: independent, self–confident, and happy. I didn't see this in myself at the time, but how could I? I was still in elementary
school. There is one woman, however, who I considered being one of the most beautiful beings. She is partially the reason I am the person I am...show

I hated shopping. But this lady with her textured turtleneck always mesmerized me with how powerfully she presented herself. She was always so
polished and prim. I never remember a Sunday where she looked like the overworked mother, or the stress ridden woman trying to keep her life
together. No, she was quite the opposite. She was in complete control of her life.
Years passed by, I no longer saw any of her kids. Her husband, who was quite obviously older than her, began to deteriorate. He had surgery that left
him unable to walk without assistance. She was always there, guiding him, smiling at him, helping him into the car. She maintained the same calm,
loving style towards him, before and after. At this point, I was quite a bit older. I understood death. I could tell just by looking at him, that his time
was coming to an end; anyone could. But she paid no attention to that. She appeared older than before. Not in sense that she was dying, but she
seemed like she had accomplished whatever she wanted in life. She seemed serene, they both did. It was in those last few months they had together
that I saw a couple truly in love. They were happy. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think that people genuinely understand their
feelings for a person until they've lived without him or her or they know that that time is coming. She never once showed any sadness or sorrow. She
remained as caring and as gentle as ever.

So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really did. I guess that's just the type of person I was,
someone who just hopped on a train for the ride. I always liked trains. I don't know what it was about them, but for some reason or another, I always
found myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate "was only for kids" but I never got that; I had a
pretty strong distaste for coffee. Honestly, I hate it, the way it makes your teeth gritty to the point where you need something else to drink. I can't even

My mother raised me right, so I understood how wrong this was, but don't worry, nothing I had been thinking was going to leave my thick skull. Most
of the people on the train were older women with their children, but next to me was a man. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness.
However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I named this man Frank and created a story for him
when another man caught my eye. It was his coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I worked
out frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest, however, was ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even
real. My eyes drifted towards the right of the train. I began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk in my direction.
He was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated up. I couldn't believe what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb
strapped to his chest. Spending the next few minutes convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began to panic. Next
thing I know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to prepare for what was going to happen next. It didn't take long for
everybody on the train to panic. It rushed through each row as the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an orchestra of agony and it

I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide

differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them.
Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I

Descriptive Essay On Being Alone
Alone. My emotions all pertained to this word – : being neglected because I was different from others. My prickly exterior caused people to overlook
me. And my friends, let's just say I didn't have any. I never had an intention to hurt anyone, but this was who I was and the reason for my
loneliness. As days, months, even years passed, people ignored the true beauty in me. I was constantly left sitting alone in the cold, damp corner
with no one to interact with. This was my fate. My life was basically forlorn. I was going to be alone, forever. It wasn't until a sunny, summer day
when hope came in the form of hands picking me up from the dark place I was sitting. It was the first time someone examined me! This boy, my
new owner, had passion gleaming from his eyes: he was waiting for this moment to pick me up and take me home. But why me? Why after all this
waiting has someone finally chose me? After all, there were plenty of other plants at the store. Why a cactus? As he carried me back to his house I
began to worry. What if I was ignored and placed in the corner like at the store? There was a maelstrom of conflicts and apprehensions inside me, but
as we entered his home, it was empty. I was his first plant! Being the first plant in a house was a privilege, and it was unbelievable that a plant as
insignificant as me was given this privilege. My owner's hospitality was endless: I was constantly fed water when thirsty, fed fertilize r when
hungry, and given enough sunlight when cold to grow. It was like he could read my mind and gavegive me whatever I wanted, whenever I needed it.
The feeling of loneliness was fading away, and I felt as if I finally had someone who cared about me. Rather than judging my current deamor like the
rest of the customers, my owner saw my inner beauty, thus, forming an unbreakable bond between us. Being a cactus made it hard for me to fit in with
other plants, yet after all the time I spent with my owner–or should I say caretaker– I felt that everything was going to be fine, that was until... My
caretaker began to gain a passion for other plants, and when summer arrived there came a different plant every month ranging from trending tropical to
durable desert plants. His home was

Sadness. Some people will say they learned how to drive this summer, or they learned how to waterski. But I learned what sadness is.
My mum and I spent two weeks with my grandfather and grandmother this summer. I knew my grandfather's health was failing. I knew he wasn't
doing well. But I had absolutely no conception of how bad it was. He couldn't take ten steps without yelping in pain. He couldn't do much of anything
by himself. Those two weeks were spent helping my grandparents any way I possibly could, carrying my grandfather 's walker places, and playing
endless games of scrabble with him.

My eyes were clouded over and I just kept hearing the words that the principal had said over and over again. He had passed away. I didn't even know
him well, but the idea that he could just be gone terrified me. Now it was happening to my grandfather.
"How can someone just be gone?" I pleaded with my mum, but probably more with God than her. "How can someone be here one day, and then
gone the next?' Tears began to fill my eyes and cloud my vision. "How is it that someone dies when their body fails them? How is it that one day
Grandad will be gone, and I won't be able to talk to him anymore, or call him, or play scrabble with him? It's just not fair!"
I collapsed into tears while my mum pulled over. We just sat there for a while, both hugging each other andcrying our eyes out. There was so much
sadness in me. It was like a black hole, swallowing me up from the inside. It was an intense form of grief that I had never felt before. I would cry and
feel my whole body shaking, tears coming out of my eyes, but my soul also gasping inside of me, trying to throw out that black hole, but instead getting
consumed.
My mum's face streamed with tears. "I feel the same way," she whispered before falling into heart wrenching sobs, the same sobs that had been

The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has

Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine
with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was

There is always that one person that you have that knows all of your secrets, shares all of your jokes, listens to all of your gossip and is simply
someone you can call your best friend. I live with that person, or at least I used to. Her name is Allison, my sister and my best friend. Looking
back at every single memory I have, she is there in some form or fashion. She is there holding my hand my first day of preschool, wearing the same
jean jacket as I because our mom loved it when we matched. She is there on the basketball court with me during my very first game, helping calm
my nerves and stop my shaking. She is there holding me while I cry over my first heartbreak, reassuring me that things will get better. Even after she
graduated, leaving me in high school alone, she is still there. She is at every game cheering me on from the stands and is always willing to help me
with things such as homework or listen to my constant rants about teachers.
I remember waking up every morning at 6:45 to the horrible shrill of country music blaring in the bathroom that we shared, as Allison got ready for the
day ahead. Now, the bathroom is quiet because she is no longer there. She shares a different bathroom with a different person who now gets the rude

My mom's name is Lisa and she was a PTA but is now a stay at home mom. My dad's name is Luis and he was a chemical and nuclear engineer, but
now owns his own business. I have 3 sisters: Angie, Silencia, and Mahalia. I also have 3 brothers: Matthias, Geminiah, and Elshaddai. Angie works
with my dad to eventually take over the family business. The rest of my siblings are in school except for Elshaddai who is only 3. My family expects
me to be a good example to my younger siblings and encourage them. To do this they also expect me to do well in school and in athletics. My mom
is a very outgoing, loud, and energetic person. My dad is also very outgoing and loud, but he has more of a serious side to him. Angie is really fun,
but she also has a more relaxed personality. Mahalia is very loud, active, and argumentative. Silencia is the most soft–spoken and relaxed out of
everyone. Matthias is very outgoing, loud, and active. Geminiah and Elshaddai are both loud and very active. I have good relationships with
everyone in my family. I do have small disagreements with my siblings sometimes, but we all love each other a lot. I had a very unusual childhood,
but it was still fun. My childhood was unusual because it involved a lot of training but that's what we did together as a family, and growing up I had
friends that did the same thing and we all enjoyed it.
In grade school I competed in a lot of powerlifting meets and got to travel all over the country to break world records. I missed

Descriptive Essay About My Life

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About My Life Life, it's a cruel, but funny thing. Life will throw you multiple obstacles just to get you to one point, message, or lesson. It'll give you the most horrible situations, but give you an outcome of happiness and love. This is what I went through. I went through an obstacle in life that showed me that it's not worth it to be harsh, cruel, or mean to your loved ones or piers. This obstacle showed me that we allow ourselves to let our emotions in the way of the truth and in the way of love. This obstacle shaped me to be the person I am today. Now listen to why I give these reasons. Why I say what I say. Listen to my story of how I came to be, through love, anger, frustrations, and death. Maureen Xavier, the life of the party, the ...show more content... We all thought it was old age. Over the months she passed out 3 more times. Now I knew something was wrong, everyone knew something was wrong. My grandmother wasn 't smiling as much and had a face of pain, but that face was soon gone when someone stepped into the room. I knew she was hiding something, I knew she wasn't letting us know how she was feeling. I went to the hospital with my grandma multiple times, it was becoming a daily routine for me, but one day was special. My grandmother, dad, grandfather, and I all went to the hospital to get my grandmother checked out for once and for all. I remember sitting in the waiting room, watching as my grandfather comes out with a face of worry. I asked what was wrong. It turns out my grandmother had stage 4 colon cancer and it was bad. The cancer was so bad to the point that chemotherapy couldn't fix it. I would sit on the couch watching my grandmother lay on the red reclining chair that squeaked every time you moved, just staring at the TV. It was at this moment when reality hit me, and it hit me hard. My grandmother who was practically my mother too was extremely sick and is not going to get any better. I looked at her and everything changed in her appearance. She no longer had the full head of brown hair, but a baldish head with grey hair. She no longer had that full figure, but a sickly and bony, pale body. Her face didn't have a smile, but when it did, it was forced. Looking at her, I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About A Hero When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman. The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my definition of a hero is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when things get hard, who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves. When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy. My aunt Patty had told us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was going to be in town. My aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually moving back home to Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake. My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the sentence that nobody ever wants to hear come from a loved Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About Personal Experience Fear, guilt, happiness, and anger are emotions which individuals can be struck with at the most unexpected time, but as human beings, we have experienced all of these feelings a plethora of times over the course of life. Emotions and feelings are the results of one's actions that lead to situations. The way an individual acts, speaks, or even discerns can lead to circumstances and ultimately trigger emotions, which in the end, possibly provide you with a valuable lesson. The glorious summer of 2008 resulted from the sun and air's collaboration to fulfill my desire to have balmy weather. The trees composedly swayed while the neighborhood kids played and giggled around them, and their parents prepared for work. In the midst of this, I woke...show more content... I got very restless as she opened for business, since I didn't know how to spend my time, I lead my feet to the coolers located on the far opposite side of the checkout area that were filled with different types of waters and juices. Although I was tempted to pick out a juice, I chose a strawberry flavored water, and I decided to save the juice for later. With my drink, I happily walked to the candyaisle that was in between the tobacco and cigarette aisles. My eyes couldn 't locate the KitKat wafers, my all–time favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort of my chair empty handed. I felt like a sportsperson who just came home defeated from a championship game. My eyes ogled at the rack, from a great distance, while my heart wept and yearned for the treat. My mind, the biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the aisle. With a small ray of hope buried deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and inspected the candies again. The nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I inspected each of the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started celebrating, while my mind remembered to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I approached my mom and asked her by faking a naive look, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Losing Someone Essay Losing Someone The world seems to stand still when you are told. That feeling you have never felt before, of total sadness. You feel faint and dazed as if you are falling or dreaming. You were told this was going to happen, but you could never be prepared for it. You don't know what to say, you are totally speechless. You burn up, feel dizzy but no tears will come. You have to get out of there, to escape, runaway anything to make this feeling fade. You just don't want to believe it had happened after everything. Part of you wants to cry your heart out and the other part wants to hit something with the anger that raging inside you. Sound familiar? She had taken her last breath and was...show more content... They did exactly say how long she had, but they thought it would be a few days but she even proved them wrong on that. She lived for another four amazing weeks! The last words I said to her was that I loved her and goodnight because she was going to sleep, I'm so glad I got to tell her that because I wanted her to know. The funeral was the biggest challenge, actually having to say goodbye. So many people were there because she was such an inspiration, a whole sea of pink, her favourite colour. Thousands of flowers in all shapes and sizes but always pink. It just proved how special she was to so many people. We all went to the pub she used to work at afterwards and it felt like she was actually there with us which was a huge comfort. She had wanted us all to get drunk and have a good time so we did as we were told! I have never lost anyone before and being so close to my age too it was scary. It's still hard now when I see pink or hear her name. The toughest time was when I got my G.C.S.E results and she wasn't here for me to tell her. I even went to text her which now I've found out is perfectly normal. The whole time she was ill I never thought she was actually leave us because she was such a brave fighter so her not being here is hard to handle. She was never Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Descriptive Essay About Personality 1.Descriptive Essay Nothing But Personality It was my first day at the school, I got into the building where I was going to live. My eyes searched carefully from the door of one bedroom to that of another for my name which ought to have been pasted on the door of one of these bedrooms. At last I found it. On stepping into the bedroom I found there was already a student who was making her bed, She was thin, short and black–skinned. Her hair looked like a bundle of straw. Her dirty clothes and lusterless eyes clearly indicated that she had a long journey. Her clothes were made of cheap cloth. Her coat was too short, and the legs of her trousers were too loose. She wore a pair of unfashionable rubber shoes. And all her looks made me feel that she did not look like a smart girl. "A yokel," I concluded. The second she spoke, her accent told me that she was from the south. "May I help you get your luggage from the office?"
I did not decline her help because I really needed it. She was quick in movement. She walked out of the room and was soon far ahead of me in the corridor. "A nice girl," I said to myself. "I will make friends with her." I hurried and caught up with her. Sometimes outlook does not mean anything about personality. 2.Original Poem I Hear The War I hear the rapid crackle of automatic gunfire in the darkness. It breaks the silent, and the cold mist. • 6. Descriptive Essay : My Unforgettable Travels My Unforgettable Travels Visualizing a picture in your head can be so captivating and it can bring back memories you'd never thought you would remember. I visualized a picture of a love lock bridge in Paris, France because it is something that stood out to me when I was traveling. Everything about this area was amazing and breathtaking. I will always remember traveling to France and Spain because of how different other countries are than the United States. Going to these places really made me love exploring and learning new things about the world. When going to France, I really depicted it as a different place than it was. I thought it was going to be just like New York City with a little touch of different people. I was so incredibly wrong. I went there in February of this year and ever since then I can't wait to go back to different countries. The lifestyle there was so serene and mesmerizing all at once. You felt this almost joy of just walking into certain places. I went to multiple different places there. For example, I went to the Palace of Versailles, Hotel Des Invalides, theEiffel Tower and then art museums with painting like the Mona Lisa and much more. These places were spectacular and so different. The work of every building was hand crafted and made me wish I could live in Paris. The people there were a little rude to Americans, but that didn't stop me from trying to converse with them as much as I could. I would always look up different Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Essay About Beauty I think our minds are obsessed with beauty. We envy those we cannot be. We strive to have this picture perfect life, or something close to it. When I was younger, I was never out going or the kid that talked all the time. That just wasn't me. I never thought of myself as beautiful. I thought I was pretty, but in my mind, to be truly beautiful, one must possess other characteristics beyond the physical realm. To be exquisite, perfectly, and wholeheartedly beautiful, one must be: independent, self–confident, and happy. I didn't see this in myself at the time, but how could I? I was still in elementary school. There is one woman, however, who I considered being one of the most beautiful beings. She is partially the reason I am the person I am...show more content... I hated shopping. But this lady with her textured turtleneck always mesmerized me with how powerfully she presented herself. She was always so polished and prim. I never remember a Sunday where she looked like the overworked mother, or the stress ridden woman trying to keep her life together. No, she was quite the opposite. She was in complete control of her life. Years passed by, I no longer saw any of her kids. Her husband, who was quite obviously older than her, began to deteriorate. He had surgery that left him unable to walk without assistance. She was always there, guiding him, smiling at him, helping him into the car. She maintained the same calm, loving style towards him, before and after. At this point, I was quite a bit older. I understood death. I could tell just by looking at him, that his time was coming to an end; anyone could. But she paid no attention to that. She appeared older than before. Not in sense that she was dying, but she seemed like she had accomplished whatever she wanted in life. She seemed serene, they both did. It was in those last few months they had together that I saw a couple truly in love. They were happy. I've never seen anything like that before. I don't think that people genuinely understand their feelings for a person until they've lived without him or her or they know that that time is coming. She never once showed any sadness or sorrow. • 8. Descriptive Personal Experience Essay So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really did. I guess that's just the type of person I was, someone who just hopped on a train for the ride. I always liked trains. I don't know what it was about them, but for some reason or another, I always found myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate "was only for kids" but I never got that; I had a pretty strong distaste for coffee. Honestly, I hate it, the way it makes your teeth gritty to the point where you need something else to drink. I can't even enjoy a cup unless it's lighter than my own skin tone, which, by the way, is pretty pale. I mean I wouldn't call myself pasty but... Anyhow, it...show more content... My mother raised me right, so I understood how wrong this was, but don't worry, nothing I had been thinking was going to leave my thick skull. Most of the people on the train were older women with their children, but next to me was a man. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness. However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I named this man Frank and created a story for him when another man caught my eye. It was his coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I worked out frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest, however, was ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even real. My eyes drifted towards the right of the train. I began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk in my direction. He was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated up. I couldn't believe what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb strapped to his chest. Spending the next few minutes convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began to panic. Next thing I know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to prepare for what was going to happen next. It didn't take long for everybody on the train to panic. It rushed through each row as the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an orchestra of agony and it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Descriptive Essay About Myself I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be a different person than I am today. I have always grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's houses and hear them communicating in another language. For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up and insisted I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Descriptive Essay On Being Alone Alone. My emotions all pertained to this word – : being neglected because I was different from others. My prickly exterior caused people to overlook me. And my friends, let's just say I didn't have any. I never had an intention to hurt anyone, but this was who I was and the reason for my loneliness. As days, months, even years passed, people ignored the true beauty in me. I was constantly left sitting alone in the cold, damp corner with no one to interact with. This was my fate. My life was basically forlorn. I was going to be alone, forever. It wasn't until a sunny, summer day when hope came in the form of hands picking me up from the dark place I was sitting. It was the first time someone examined me! This boy, my new owner, had passion gleaming from his eyes: he was waiting for this moment to pick me up and take me home. But why me? Why after all this waiting has someone finally chose me? After all, there were plenty of other plants at the store. Why a cactus? As he carried me back to his house I began to worry. What if I was ignored and placed in the corner like at the store? There was a maelstrom of conflicts and apprehensions inside me, but as we entered his home, it was empty. I was his first plant! Being the first plant in a house was a privilege, and it was unbelievable that a plant as insignificant as me was given this privilege. My owner's hospitality was endless: I was constantly fed water when thirsty, fed fertilize r when hungry, and given enough sunlight when cold to grow. It was like he could read my mind and gavegive me whatever I wanted, whenever I needed it. The feeling of loneliness was fading away, and I felt as if I finally had someone who cared about me. Rather than judging my current deamor like the rest of the customers, my owner saw my inner beauty, thus, forming an unbreakable bond between us. Being a cactus made it hard for me to fit in with other plants, yet after all the time I spent with my owner–or should I say caretaker– I felt that everything was going to be fine, that was until... My caretaker began to gain a passion for other plants, and when summer arrived there came a different plant every month ranging from trending tropical to durable desert plants. • 11. Descriptive Essay About Sadness Sadness. Some people will say they learned how to drive this summer, or they learned how to waterski. But I learned what sadness is. My mum and I spent two weeks with my grandfather and grandmother this summer. I knew my grandfather's health was failing. I knew he wasn't doing well. But I had absolutely no conception of how bad it was. He couldn't take ten steps without yelping in pain. He couldn't do much of anything by himself. Those two weeks were spent helping my grandparents any way I possibly could, carrying my grandfather 's walker places, and playing endless games of scrabble with him. My grandfather is the best scrabble player I have ever met. Every time I had visited him, we had played at least once a day and he would beat me...show more content... My eyes were clouded over and I just kept hearing the words that the principal had said over and over again. He had passed away. I didn't even know him well, but the idea that he could just be gone terrified me. Now it was happening to my grandfather. "How can someone just be gone?" I pleaded with my mum, but probably more with God than her. "How can someone be here one day, and then gone the next?' Tears began to fill my eyes and cloud my vision. "How is it that someone dies when their body fails them? How is it that one day Grandad will be gone, and I won't be able to talk to him anymore, or call him, or play scrabble with him? It's just not fair!" I collapsed into tears while my mum pulled over. We just sat there for a while, both hugging each other andcrying our eyes out. There was so much sadness in me. It was like a black hole, swallowing me up from the inside. It was an intense form of grief that I had never felt before. I would cry and feel my whole body shaking, tears coming out of my eyes, but my soul also gasping inside of me, trying to throw out that black hole, but instead getting consumed. My mum's face streamed with tears. "I feel the same way," she whispered before falling into heart wrenching sobs, the same sobs that had been haunting me for months, as she had been crying over her dad's Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 14. Descriptive Essay On A Trip The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, andRome I had the ultimate trip in Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries CafГ©, the tavern restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was a great place to hang out because of friendly the environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. • 15. A Descriptive Essay : The Man The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me in the hallways light up the world. A face like heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut your fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball is like holding a bowling ball. Messing with his fluffy hair is like cotton candy I could tear into everyday. The noises he makes are so crazy they become comforting. His smell is very unique, just like a cozy house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart he has for the ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice speaks to me on the phone at night. No Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in my eyes. The flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me looking at him. When I look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think we were at a comedy show. Hearing him laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your body that just brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The warm, soft hugs he gives is like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate every time he looks at me and you can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand in stores it's like having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right way in life. He cares so much about what I want Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Descriptive Personal Narrative Story It was a brisk fall morning at 4 o'clock, and I walked into the cold, stale hospital terrified. I was a brown haired, brown eyed 5–year–old wearing gray pajamas covered in blue, yellow and red race cars. I was scared and unsure of what was about to happen. I asked my mom, "What wong me?" Of course, she knew that meant, "What's wrong with me?" "You are having a surgery but you will be alright," she responded calmly. I was confused as to why she was so calm, while I was so worried about being in the hospital. I sat on a bed with silver rails on it like a giant crib. The light blue blanket lay across my lap while the nurses gave me medications to help me sleep. I clung tightly to my lime green alligator with all my might. Things were...show more content... My mom sang lullabies and continued rocking, but the emotion kept flowing. Maybe it was the excitement of what was to come, maybe it was the loss of what was or maybe even fear of the unknown. Finally, the tears stopped and I slept in the warm embrace of the mom who said she would be right there waiting for me. I was born with a hearing issue and I was unable to hear what others said to me which did not give me much of a voice the first few years of my life. This made life difficult for several reasons. Making friends was something I struggled with due to my inability to hear or respond. As I grew older I started to make up my own language using sounds and actions to communicate with my parents. I would make a sound and my parents would know based on what I pointed at what I was talking about. This was how I communicated with them until after the surgery. They always said, "You created your very own language and your family learned it." I was easily frustrated because people treated me like I was dumb. When I couldn't get my point across or people couldn't understand me, I would get very angry. When my little brother could communicate better than me, it made me want to hurt him because it seemed so unfair. I couldn't seem to grasp why everything was so much harder for me. I went to speech therapy for over two years. There was little progress with my sounds. My therapists worked very hard with me each week to help me form words but my brain couldn't Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend There is always that one person that you have that knows all of your secrets, shares all of your jokes, listens to all of your gossip and is simply someone you can call your best friend. I live with that person, or at least I used to. Her name is Allison, my sister and my best friend. Looking back at every single memory I have, she is there in some form or fashion. She is there holding my hand my first day of preschool, wearing the same jean jacket as I because our mom loved it when we matched. She is there on the basketball court with me during my very first game, helping calm my nerves and stop my shaking. She is there holding me while I cry over my first heartbreak, reassuring me that things will get better. Even after she graduated, leaving me in high school alone, she is still there. She is at every game cheering me on from the stands and is always willing to help me with things such as homework or listen to my constant rants about teachers. I remember waking up every morning at 6:45 to the horrible shrill of country music blaring in the bathroom that we shared, as Allison got ready for the day ahead. Now, the bathroom is quiet because she is no longer there. She shares a different bathroom with a different person who now gets the rude awakening every morning that I would die to have back.
