Presently working as General Manager at corporate Engineering and
associated with different projects in India and abroad of JINDAL POWER LTD,
100% subsidiary of the JSPL group and having total experience of more than
23 years (11 years in power Generation sector, 11 years in Power Transformer
manufacturing sector and 1 year in Power distribution sector). The detail of

A) Thermal Power plant of capacity 4x600MW, 4X250MW (JINDAL
POWER LTD) with strong & sound knowledge of, Engineering, Planning,
procurement, project execution, Testing & commissioning, Electrical
Maintenance, Overhauling of various electrical equipment i.e.,
Switchyard up to 400KV, Transmission line up to 400KV, Power
Transformers up to 400KV, Turbo Generators up to 600MW, HT & LT
Motors up to 12MW, HT/LT SWGR up to 33KV, associated electrical
system, ESP, Actuators, Excitation Panel, Generator Protection Panel,
Relay setting & Testing, BOP areas, CHP, AHP, Preventive Maintenance

B) EHV POWER TRANSFORMERS of capacity up to 250 MVA, 220KV with
strong knowledge of Design, Engineering, Planning, procurement,
Tendering, Production, Quality assurance, Testing, dispatch, Erection,
commissioning, Maintenance, Troubleshooting etc. Various Techno
commercial discussion with different clients in India and overseas,
setting up plants in India and abroad, Business trip to different
countries.
C) Power Distribution in Distribution company (AES-CESCO, managed
by AES which is USA based global power company) to work in
Electrical Equipment maintenance, Projects i.e., Switchyard,
Transformers, Switchgears, Transmission lines up to 33KV class. Meter
and Relay testing, HT/LT metering, Billing for HT consumers, consumer
grievance, Commercial settlement etc.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION:
• Graduate in Electrical Engineering (AMIE) from The Institution of
Engineers (India), Kolkata in the year -1992.

and Technology, Meerut, UP in year 2014.
• Diploma in Computer Application from Xpert Information system

PROJECTS:
Engineering and commercials;
1. Estimation of budgets for various packages and works to be executed.

Execution and project management:
1. Monitors and directs, in collaboration with PMT, (Project Management
Team), all site activities to ensure objectives are accomplished within the
prescribed time frame and budget parameters.
2. Assess and reviews the project Key Performance Indicators to determine
accurate status of project, making tactical decisions for allocating
resources, and assigning staff requirements, to maintain project on
target.
3. Manage Changes to Engineering and assist in obtaining written approval
on all changes before proceeding with work.
4. Prepares Reports for corrective actions if project becomes behind
schedule or overspends budget, and presents to appropriate authority
with recovery plan.
5. Reviews Periodic status reports prepared by PMT Managers. Prepares
and presents reports for Project manager, including monthly summary
report.
6. Confers with PMT Managers to provide technical commercial advice and
to resolve problems.
7. Department on ‐ boarding and induction (procedures, guidelines,
policies, etc). Collaborates with PMT Managers in directing and
supervising personnel.
8. Provide Staff on the job training with the aim of increasing personnel
development.

3. 9. Ensures all sub sections have effective resources and perform with
expected efficiency and productivity.
10. Complies With all statutory requirements connected with the
implementation of project.
11. Ensure proper closeout of project including transmittal of final

13. Planning, execution, operation and maintenance of Construction power

i.e. BTG, BOP, CHP, WTP, AHP, DG set, DC system, HT/LT switchgears,
HT/LT motors, Crane and hoist, Transformers,400KV switchyard,
Transmission line etc.
15. Switchyard, Transmission line and interconnection system, Cabling,
Earthing, Illumination, Package.
16. Final reconciliation, LD analysis, PG test and contract closure.
MAINTENANCE:
1. Maintenance of the complete electrical system of power plant including
maintenance planning, preventive maintenance, annual maintenance
etc.
2. Regular health monitoring of the electrical equipment’s, Relay
parameterization and necessary rectification/maintenance of the same.
3. Coordination with other departments for opportunity based
maintenance.
4. Setting of electrical Laboratory facility for regular analysis of samples
collected from site.
5. Maintenance of all power plant equipment like switchyard, Transmission
line UPS, battery, battery charger,HT/LT motors, DG set, Generator,
Generator protection, HT/LT switchgears, Actoators
6. Maintenance planning through MIS, updating and attending all MIS
registered operational problems etc.
b. More than 11 years in EHV Transformers;
1. Design, Techno commercial discussions, Negotiation for Transformers up
to 250 MVA, 220 KV class.
2. Preparation of manufacturing drawings, Production planning and
Procurement.
3. Production, Testing and shop floor management, Quality management
etc.
4. Management of site storage and execution of turnkey contracts,
Erection, Testing and commissioning, Troubleshooting etc.
5. Billing and collection of payments from customers.
c- More than 1 year in Power Distribution:
1. Erection, Testing & commissioning of switchyard up to 33KV & 11KV
VCB’s, Transformers, CT’s & PT’s up to 33 KV class.
2. Troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical distribution system up to
33 KV.

4. 4. Verification of HT installations & metering, Checking of faulty HT
installations and rectification of the same, Monthly targets for checking
of tariff metering.

d- Solar power, was the team member for establishment of solar power
plants for the group company. Also visited different solar project sites for
system study and submitted feasibility of project.
Achievements:
1. Successfully commissioned all electrical system for timely
synchronization of 3400MW (Both 4x250 MW & 4x600MW)
2. Replacement of two nos. faulty 250 MVA GT within 8 days each to meet
the target synchronization.
3. Analyze the performance of condenser bushings and timely replacement
of the save thereby saved huge generation loss to company.
4. Stabilized all electrical equipment in the power plant to minimize the
outage.
5. HT Meter tampering caught and saved huge revenue of the distribution
company.
6. Visited overseas for establishment of new manufacturing plant and after
sales service,

B) Previous Employer: ALFA TRANSFORMERS LTD, Bhubaneswar, Orissa

Alfa Transformers is an export oriented unit with both domestic and

had technical collaboration with ETG, Austria and manufactured
