and 1999 among the eighth and ninth
grades.
•-The “GSWI “( General Subjective Well being
Indicator) used as a variables to measure the
students well-being
3. GSWI
•The subjective well- being can be understood
in terms of life satisfaction in different
aspects as self-appraisals like job satisfaction
, self-esteem and control beliefs ( Veenhoven,
1991).
She means the degree to which an individual
judges the overall quality of his/her life as a
whole favorable.
4. 4 main variables-dimentions- to be
measured
1- Having : School Conditions
Surroundings and environment, School subjects
and organization , schedules, Group size,
Punishment, Safety
2-Loving : Social Relationships
School climate, Group dynamics, teacher
student relationship, Peer relationships.
Bulling. Cooperation with homes.

3-Being: Means for self-fulfillment
Value of student’s work, Guidance,
Encouragement ,Influence in school decision
making , increase self-esteem
4- Health :Health Status
Psychosomatic symptoms , Chronic and other
diseases, Illnesses , common colds….
