Comparison
Global warming an increase in the earth's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate and that may result from the greenhouse effect.
The main cause for Global Warming is CO2 admissions. These Carbon Dioxide fumes are let off by burning Fossil fuels. The co2 acts as a blanket, trapping heat and warming the planet. As we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas for energy or cut down and burn forests to create pastures and plantations, carbon accumulates and overloads our atmosphere.
Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner.
Effects that scientists had predicted in the past would result from global climate change are now occurring: loss of sea ice, accelerated sea level rise and longer, more intense heat waves.
This is causing a dramatic rise in sea level. This will cause a higher rate of flooding which will affect our food and our trade.
The sun radiates out short wave radiation which is absorbed by the earths surface. This is then re radiated as long wave radiation (which has a lower principle frequency as the short wave radiation).
This is then absorbed by the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Most of the consequences are very much the same as Global warming so these are some of the more specific consequences.
Alpine Ski resorts will be forced to close due to lack of snow
An additional 220-240 million people may be at risk from malaria particularly in China and central Asia
Both of these will have terrible effects on income and health around the world.
I don’t think that there are many differences between the Greenhouse effect and Global warming.
Both will have disastrous effects on the earth if they are not addressed properly.
But the main thing is that we can easily eradicate this problem by reducing the amount of electricity and power we use.
There are more cons than pros when it comes to both Global warming and the greenhouse effect so awareness needs to be high.
