1. Top 10 Highest Mountains
in the Philippines
The top ten highest peaks in the Philippine
archipelago are concentrated mainly on its two
largest islands. Luzon Island, home of the grand
Cordillera mountains, has the 3rd, 6th, 9th and
10th highest. While the rest, including the highest
peak, are found in the island of Mindanao.
2. Mt. Apo, the highest in the country, is shown in this

5. Mount Kitanglad is an inactive volcano located in the
Kitanglad Mountain Range in Bukidnon province on Mindanao
island. It is the fourth highest mountain in the Philippines and
has an approximate height of 2,899 meters.
6. Mount Kalatungan, also known as Catatungan, is a volcanic
mountain located in the province of Bukidnon in the southern
Philippines.
8. Mount Ragang, also called Mount Piapayungan and Blue
Mountain by the local people, is a stratovolcano on Mindanao
island in the Philippines. It is the seventh highest mountain in
the Philippines.
10. Mt. Timbak - then also known as Mt. Singakalsa - this
mountain has become a permanent part of the
repertoire of Cordillera mountains, usually done as a
dayhike from Baguio or a constituent hike of the 'Luzon
3-2-1' which combines the three highest peaks of
Luzon in one hike: Timbak, Tabayoc, Pulag.
11. Mt. Kalawitan is the 4th highest mountain of Luzon. We have
scaled it last November 2012 and named it Halloween
Climb.
