Roles and Responsibilities
1. Review the vault cash movement register /subject to count cash register /staff movement
register in and out of the vault area / vault cash summary register for existence,
completeness, accuracy and timely updating.
2. Review of branch vault dual control structure and ensure that the control is not compromised.
3. Review beginning of day opening of the branch vault and end of day closing of the vault.
4. Call over the branch transaction tickets within 24 hours for timely detection of errors
/omission
5. To actively suggest ways over countering control gaps and related problems
6. Review the vault cash holding to ensure that the branch operates within its advised insurance
limit and any exception on this should be flagged.
7. Review and ensure that the vault physical cash position agrees to system vault figure /manual
and balance sheet cash position.
