President’s
Message
—
Dear Members and Friends,
N
international shorebird conservation action plan. We sent
our researchers to northern South America to continue
promoting conservation at hemispherically-important
migratory shorebird habitats, from South America all
the way up to the Delaware River Bay. And we brought
children to the Jersey Shore with our Be a Good Egg
message of safeguarding beach-nesting birds.
Our urban education programs, through partnerships
with the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, and our award-
winning statewide Eco-Schools initiative have engaged
and empowered thousands of students and teachers
in environmental education in cities and towns; habitat
enhancements were conducted on corporate landscapes,
private farms, and at Hawk Rise Sanctuary—a wild oasis
in the heart of Linden.
This annual report is not just a snapshot of what your
investment in New Jersey Audubon achieves. It is not
just a record of achievement. It’s a vision for the future,
a future in which wildlife habitats throughout New Jersey
are protected, conserved and enjoyed by all. As you read
in more detail about our projects of the past year,
I hope that you will share my pride in working to make
New Jersey a better place for people and wildlife.
Thank you for your outstanding support
that drives our success!
Eric Stiles
President and
Chief Executive Officer
ew Jersey Audubon is strong and vibrant because
of your support. In this annual report, you will
notice that we continue to invest in long-term
initiatives that fulfill our mission, and devise new
conservation strategies for the future. These strategies
manifest in three key areas of focus for the organization—
forests and farms, coasts and wetlands, and cities and
towns. The threats to wildlife in these habitats are very
real. But with your support, New Jersey Audubon has
been and will continue to be on the forefront of wildlife
conservation and environmental education.
As you read this report, you’ll see how last year we led
in promoting healthy forests, initiating a habitat
certification process and educating volunteers in invasive
plant identification and removal; we advocated for
legislation that promoted prescribed burns, and restored
habitat to benefit a wide range of species.
Grassland restoration required groundbreaking research
on the effects of habitat management at military airfields;
it meant working behind the scenes to protect monarch
butterflies, native bees, and other pollinators; and
it took courage and hard work to start an innovative
collaboration that would bring a vanishing quail back
from the brink.
New Jersey Audubon’s coastal conservation initiatives
and influence reached not only every corner of the state,
but all over the Western hemisphere as well. We oversaw
a Hurricane Sandy Resiliency project to restore beaches
and create better habitat at Stone Harbor Point, and
evaluated coastal vulnerability for human safety and
wildlife protection. We offered expertise at global United
Nations workshops, and were sought for guidance on an

Conserve AND
Steward
—
Through our advocacy efforts and leadership of
the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed, we
succeeded in securing an unprecedented $13 million
from the National Resources Conservation Service for
Delaware River conservation. Through funding from
the William Penn Foundation and the National Fish and
Wildlife Foundation, we also worked to safeguard the
New Jersey Highlands and the Kirkwood-Cohansey
Watershed, to ensure both watershed health
and the enhancement of wildlife habitat.
One of our greatest achievements in advocacy
occurred on November 4th, 2014. In a historic landmark
victory, New Jersey voters approved a constitutional
amendment that enabled the State to create a permanent
funding source to buy and, for the first time, conserve
open space. New Jersey Audubon led a coalition of more
than 180 groups, known as NJ Keep It Green, to raise
public awareness for the measure.
We continue to inspire our members and all citizens of
the state to better protect our forests and grassland bird
species. In 2014, New Jersey Audubon Citizen Scientists
collaborated with the National Science Foundation to
study the effects of invasive species on forest health, and
improve the survival of declining grassland birds.
And, after decades of research and hard work, the ambitious
goal of returning a near-vanished species back to the Garden
State is becoming a reality. Over the next three years, our
stewardship staff will lead the effort to re-establish Northern
Bobwhite to the Pinelands through the release of 240 quail
onto the Pine Island Cranberry Company’s 17,000-acre
forested tract. The goal will be to establish a self-sustaining
population of wild Northern Bobwhite and demonstrate
the role of ecologically based forest management in their
recovery. These birds will be tested, radio tagged, and
monitored in an unprecedented effort to restore this species
that was once so common in our state.
While our Garden State continues to face threats to its
forests and farms, New Jersey Audubon is grateful to
our corporate partners, elected officials, and private
donors for their collaborative support in making 2014
a milestone in the history of healthy forest, grassland
and watershed preservation. •
ith a nickname like the Garden State, the last
thing one would imagine occurring is the
disappearance of wildlife and a decline in
healthy habitat. And yet New Jersey’s forests are under
significant stress. Over 90% of forests in New Jersey are the
same age, leaving very little diversity for wildlife today, and
no young forests to replace them tomorrow. In addition,
natural forest growth is being disrupted by non-native,
invasive plants that are crowding out vital native species.
This is compounded by the loss of agricultural land, and
a highly developed landscape that cuts wildlife off from
habitat. One-third of all bird species that are threatened
or endangered in New Jersey are grassland birds, and
many pollinators, including monarch butterflies and native
bees, are rapidly declining.
But there is hope. As the state’s largest and most active
conservation organization, New Jersey Audubon is
delivering on-the-ground solutions to these challenges.
Your continued support enables smart ecological forestry
and grassland restoration by enhancing critical habitat
for declining wildlife. Our pioneering forest and grassland
habitat initiatives, bi-partisan legislative advocacy and
groundbreaking science research made 2014 a historic
year for New Jersey Audubon.
Throughout New Jersey, our science-based management
of forest and grasslands has become a game-changer in
wildlife habitat stewardship. This can be seen firsthand
from New Jersey Audubon’s Hovnanian Sanctuary in
the Pinelands, which now serves as a model for forest
stewardship, to the Flat Rock Brook Nature Preserve in
Bergen County, which now meets strict global standards
for forest management. It can also be seen at Scherman-
Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary in Bernardsville, where our deer
exclosure is protecting ideal habitat for native species.
We continue to educate and engage lawmakers on the need
to protect our forest and grassland resources by successfully
advocating for critical legislation in Trenton. Our push to
pass legislation to help rejuvenate forests via prescribed
burns passed both houses with strong bipartisan support.
In addition, the New Jersey Healthy Forests Act passed
both chambers and will require better management of
the State’s forests.

and wetlands focus. In the past year alone, our staff led an
international team of biologists to tag and collect essential
data from more than 2000 Semipalmated Sandpipers, who
use the Delaware Bay as their critical stopover site for resting
and feeding during migration. And after decades of consistent
advocacy, we realized a victory in the listing of the Red Knot as
federally threatened, which provides a greater level of security
for this struggling species.
Cape May County, the crossroads of the shore and the bay,
is also a mecca of birding. New Jersey Audubon’s Cape May
Bird Observatory continues to be the essential source for
linking people to birding, drawing thousands every year to
the organization’s HawkWatch at Cape May Point. Possibly
the greatest migration spectacle on the East Coast of North
America, the Avalon Seawatch ensures that we have our
finger on the pulse of waterbirds in the western Atlantic.
Hovering around one million individual birds counted each
year, this dataset is critically important to understanding
waterbird populations in our region.
Both staff and interns at Cape May are working to safeguard
migrating monarchs and to learn about how varying
environmental factors influence their migration. The Monarch
Monitoring Project is the longest continuous quantitative
study of migrating monarchs in the world. In 2014, thousands
of monarch butterflies were tagged and released. In addition,
New Jersey Audubon worked in Trenton to introduce the
first-ever Monarch habitat growth and protection legislation
designed to protect this important species.
Nothing says “New Jersey” more so than the Jersey Shore
and Delaware Bay. From Sandy Hook to Cape May to along
the Delaware River, New Jersey’s coast and wetlands have
been continually hailed as our greatest cultural, economic
and natural resource—they are part of our collective state
identity. Without New Jersey Audubon’s concerted efforts in
researching threats, educating legislators and the public, and
leading important projects that protect and improve critical
habitats and the wildlife they support, we stand to lose the
natural coastal and wetland treasures that makes New Jersey
essentially New Jersey.
But thanks to critical partnerships with all levels of government,
foundations and other nonprofits and, of course your continued
support, our mission to restore our coast and wetland habitats
to maintain that ever-so-delicate balance for people, wildlife
and nature continues unabated. •
ew Jersey’s coastline is not
only home to some of our
fondest summer beach
memories–it also provides critical
habitat for threatened shorebird
populations and other wildlife.
Situated along the Atlantic Flyway,
New Jersey is one of the most
important bird migration corridors in
North America. Balancing public need
with that of wildlife is challenging,
especially when considering the
vulnerability of habitat, as witnessed
by the devastation wreaked by
Superstorm Sandy.
New Jersey Audubon’s goal to protect
and restore fragile coastal habitats for
wildlife, without disrupting recreational
and economic opportunity, was fully
realized in 2014.
Funded by a $1.28 million grant
through the National Fish and Wildlife
Foundation, New Jersey Audubon
oversaw a massive conservation
project at Stone Harbor Point. The
effort restored critical habitat for
endangered beach nesting and
migratory shorebirds while protecting
neighboring communities from storm
surges. After months of planning,
huge earth movers were replenishing
sand on eroded beaches, “working
in a race against time” as NBC News
put it, to raise the nesting grounds
for federally threatened Piping
Plovers and state endangered Black
Skimmers and Least Terns—just in
time for this year’s spring migration
and breeding season.
Shorebird science research and
advocacy has been at the forefront
of New Jersey Audubon’s coast

conducted here help document bird use and inform restoration
efforts; a five-acre deer exclosure was installed to enable more
focused habitat management. Throughout the spring, our
education staff worked with middle school students to teach
them about healthy habitats and then help them to identify and
remove invasive plant species, and plant native species.
Similar activities are underway at Petty’s Island in the
Camden metropolitan area, where we are conducting
programs to engage children and adults from urban schools
and organizations in learning about the Delaware River
Watershed, forest ecology and local history of the region.
Our researchers are working alongside our educators to
assess and collect data on critical bird and wildlife remaining
in this heavily industrialized and urbanized watershed.
While working in cities is a top priority for New Jersey
Audubon, we are also addressing the challenge of connecting
children to nature head-on through a significant expansion
of our Youth Birding Program. There is no other organization
better suited to bring the joy of nature through bird watching
to children who otherwise would have never picked up a
pair of binoculars. Support from individual donors and Zeiss
Optics, Inc. has strengthened our already-popular Young
Birders Club that has children attending field trips to birding
hotspots around the state with some of the nation’s top
naturalists. In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of
Newark, we have continued to engage young people in the
communities where they live.
Finally, the New Jersey Eco-Schools USA program grew
to over 150 schools thanks in part to grants from PSEG
Foundation and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. This
partnership with National Wildlife Federation strengthens
teachers’ ability to integrate sustainable principles and
practices throughout their schools and curricula.
As suburban and urban development continue, your support
of New Jersey Audubon becomes even more critical. By
using a multidisciplinary approach to engage young people,
train educators and facilitate outdoor exploration, New
Jersey Audubon is in an enviable and unique position. We
are at the forefront of connecting young people to nature
and wildlife throughout the Garden State in a way that no
other organization is suited to do. And thanks to you and your
continued support, our record of achievement is surpassed
only by our vision for the future. •
here is a crisis in our nation
and in our state: the average
child spends more than six
hours plugged into electronic media,
and in a typical week, only six percent
of children play outside on their
own. This problem is magnified in
our more populated, less affluent
cities, where adults and children
have little connection with their
natural surroundings.
As the state’s premier conservation
organization, New Jersey Audubon is
addressing today’s most pressing
challenges facing wildlife in habitats
across the state, but our focus in
populated areas creating educational
opportunities for diverse populations
is equally important. Our talented staff
and volunteer associate naturalists are
connecting with thousands of individuals
every year through our seven staffed
nature centers. And, we are expanding
well beyond these centers, bringing
New Jersey Audubon to people
where they live by reaching deep
into their communities and providing
opportunities to connect with nature.
The urban and suburban landscape
continues to endure great pressure
from development and population
expansion, and small pockets of
natural habitat are becoming more
valuable—to both wildlife and people.
New Jersey Audubon excels at creating
opportunities for transformational
experiences through connecting people
with nature, and these urban habitat
patches provide ideal locations to meet
people in their own communities.
Yards, vacant lots and parks become
oases amidst the built environment.
Hawk Rise Sanctuary, in the city of
Linden, is one of these oases. It is
a model for collaborative research,
education, and stewardship. Surveys

  • 1. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON | 2014 ANNUAL REPORT 1 Thank you for your support! ANNUAL REPORT NEW JERSEY AUDUBON 2014
  • 2. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON | 2014 ANNUAL REPORT 1 President’s Message — Dear Members and Friends, N international shorebird conservation action plan. We sent our researchers to northern South America to continue promoting conservation at hemispherically-important migratory shorebird habitats, from South America all the way up to the Delaware River Bay. And we brought children to the Jersey Shore with our Be a Good Egg message of safeguarding beach-nesting birds. Our urban education programs, through partnerships with the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, and our award- winning statewide Eco-Schools initiative have engaged and empowered thousands of students and teachers in environmental education in cities and towns; habitat enhancements were conducted on corporate landscapes, private farms, and at Hawk Rise Sanctuary—a wild oasis in the heart of Linden. This annual report is not just a snapshot of what your investment in New Jersey Audubon achieves. It is not just a record of achievement. It’s a vision for the future, a future in which wildlife habitats throughout New Jersey are protected, conserved and enjoyed by all. As you read in more detail about our projects of the past year, I hope that you will share my pride in working to make New Jersey a better place for people and wildlife. Thank you for your outstanding support that drives our success! Eric Stiles President and Chief Executive Officer ew Jersey Audubon is strong and vibrant because of your support. In this annual report, you will notice that we continue to invest in long-term initiatives that fulfill our mission, and devise new conservation strategies for the future. These strategies manifest in three key areas of focus for the organization— forests and farms, coasts and wetlands, and cities and towns. The threats to wildlife in these habitats are very real. But with your support, New Jersey Audubon has been and will continue to be on the forefront of wildlife conservation and environmental education. As you read this report, you’ll see how last year we led in promoting healthy forests, initiating a habitat certification process and educating volunteers in invasive plant identification and removal; we advocated for legislation that promoted prescribed burns, and restored habitat to benefit a wide range of species. Grassland restoration required groundbreaking research on the effects of habitat management at military airfields; it meant working behind the scenes to protect monarch butterflies, native bees, and other pollinators; and it took courage and hard work to start an innovative collaboration that would bring a vanishing quail back from the brink. New Jersey Audubon’s coastal conservation initiatives and influence reached not only every corner of the state, but all over the Western hemisphere as well. We oversaw a Hurricane Sandy Resiliency project to restore beaches and create better habitat at Stone Harbor Point, and evaluated coastal vulnerability for human safety and wildlife protection. We offered expertise at global United Nations workshops, and were sought for guidance on an www.NJAudubon.org OUR MISSION: Connecting People With Nature and Stewarding the Nature of Today for the People of Tomorrow. • 3. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON | 2014 ANNUAL REPORT 3 Forests AND FARMS Conserve AND Steward — Through our advocacy efforts and leadership of the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed, we succeeded in securing an unprecedented $13 million from the National Resources Conservation Service for Delaware River conservation. Through funding from the William Penn Foundation and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, we also worked to safeguard the New Jersey Highlands and the Kirkwood-Cohansey Watershed, to ensure both watershed health and the enhancement of wildlife habitat. One of our greatest achievements in advocacy occurred on November 4th, 2014. In a historic landmark victory, New Jersey voters approved a constitutional amendment that enabled the State to create a permanent funding source to buy and, for the first time, conserve open space. New Jersey Audubon led a coalition of more than 180 groups, known as NJ Keep It Green, to raise public awareness for the measure. We continue to inspire our members and all citizens of the state to better protect our forests and grassland bird species. In 2014, New Jersey Audubon Citizen Scientists collaborated with the National Science Foundation to study the effects of invasive species on forest health, and improve the survival of declining grassland birds. And, after decades of research and hard work, the ambitious goal of returning a near-vanished species back to the Garden State is becoming a reality. Over the next three years, our stewardship staff will lead the effort to re-establish Northern Bobwhite to the Pinelands through the release of 240 quail onto the Pine Island Cranberry Company’s 17,000-acre forested tract. The goal will be to establish a self-sustaining population of wild Northern Bobwhite and demonstrate the role of ecologically based forest management in their recovery. These birds will be tested, radio tagged, and monitored in an unprecedented effort to restore this species that was once so common in our state. While our Garden State continues to face threats to its forests and farms, New Jersey Audubon is grateful to our corporate partners, elected officials, and private donors for their collaborative support in making 2014 a milestone in the history of healthy forest, grassland and watershed preservation. • ith a nickname like the Garden State, the last thing one would imagine occurring is the disappearance of wildlife and a decline in healthy habitat. And yet New Jersey’s forests are under significant stress. Over 90% of forests in New Jersey are the same age, leaving very little diversity for wildlife today, and no young forests to replace them tomorrow. In addition, natural forest growth is being disrupted by non-native, invasive plants that are crowding out vital native species. This is compounded by the loss of agricultural land, and a highly developed landscape that cuts wildlife off from habitat. One-third of all bird species that are threatened or endangered in New Jersey are grassland birds, and many pollinators, including monarch butterflies and native bees, are rapidly declining. But there is hope. As the state’s largest and most active conservation organization, New Jersey Audubon is delivering on-the-ground solutions to these challenges. Your continued support enables smart ecological forestry and grassland restoration by enhancing critical habitat for declining wildlife. Our pioneering forest and grassland habitat initiatives, bi-partisan legislative advocacy and groundbreaking science research made 2014 a historic year for New Jersey Audubon. Throughout New Jersey, our science-based management of forest and grasslands has become a game-changer in wildlife habitat stewardship. This can be seen firsthand from New Jersey Audubon’s Hovnanian Sanctuary in the Pinelands, which now serves as a model for forest stewardship, to the Flat Rock Brook Nature Preserve in Bergen County, which now meets strict global standards for forest management. It can also be seen at Scherman- Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary in Bernardsville, where our deer exclosure is protecting ideal habitat for native species. We continue to educate and engage lawmakers on the need to protect our forest and grassland resources by successfully advocating for critical legislation in Trenton. Our push to pass legislation to help rejuvenate forests via prescribed burns passed both houses with strong bipartisan support. In addition, the New Jersey Healthy Forests Act passed both chambers and will require better management of the State’s forests. W www.NJAudubon.org MONARCH BUTTERFLY NORTHERN BOBWHITE
  • 4. COASTSAND WETLANDS 5NEW JERSEY AUDUBON | 2014 ANNUAL REPORT Restore AND PROTECT — and wetlands focus. In the past year alone, our staff led an international team of biologists to tag and collect essential data from more than 2000 Semipalmated Sandpipers, who use the Delaware Bay as their critical stopover site for resting and feeding during migration. And after decades of consistent advocacy, we realized a victory in the listing of the Red Knot as federally threatened, which provides a greater level of security for this struggling species. Cape May County, the crossroads of the shore and the bay, is also a mecca of birding. New Jersey Audubon’s Cape May Bird Observatory continues to be the essential source for linking people to birding, drawing thousands every year to the organization’s HawkWatch at Cape May Point. Possibly the greatest migration spectacle on the East Coast of North America, the Avalon Seawatch ensures that we have our finger on the pulse of waterbirds in the western Atlantic. Hovering around one million individual birds counted each year, this dataset is critically important to understanding waterbird populations in our region. Both staff and interns at Cape May are working to safeguard migrating monarchs and to learn about how varying environmental factors influence their migration. The Monarch Monitoring Project is the longest continuous quantitative study of migrating monarchs in the world. In 2014, thousands of monarch butterflies were tagged and released. In addition, New Jersey Audubon worked in Trenton to introduce the first-ever Monarch habitat growth and protection legislation designed to protect this important species. Nothing says “New Jersey” more so than the Jersey Shore and Delaware Bay. From Sandy Hook to Cape May to along the Delaware River, New Jersey’s coast and wetlands have been continually hailed as our greatest cultural, economic and natural resource—they are part of our collective state identity. Without New Jersey Audubon’s concerted efforts in researching threats, educating legislators and the public, and leading important projects that protect and improve critical habitats and the wildlife they support, we stand to lose the natural coastal and wetland treasures that makes New Jersey essentially New Jersey. But thanks to critical partnerships with all levels of government, foundations and other nonprofits and, of course your continued support, our mission to restore our coast and wetland habitats to maintain that ever-so-delicate balance for people, wildlife and nature continues unabated. • ew Jersey’s coastline is not only home to some of our fondest summer beach memories–it also provides critical habitat for threatened shorebird populations and other wildlife. Situated along the Atlantic Flyway, New Jersey is one of the most important bird migration corridors in North America. Balancing public need with that of wildlife is challenging, especially when considering the vulnerability of habitat, as witnessed by the devastation wreaked by Superstorm Sandy. New Jersey Audubon’s goal to protect and restore fragile coastal habitats for wildlife, without disrupting recreational and economic opportunity, was fully realized in 2014. Funded by a $1.28 million grant through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, New Jersey Audubon oversaw a massive conservation project at Stone Harbor Point. The effort restored critical habitat for endangered beach nesting and migratory shorebirds while protecting neighboring communities from storm surges. After months of planning, huge earth movers were replenishing sand on eroded beaches, “working in a race against time” as NBC News put it, to raise the nesting grounds for federally threatened Piping Plovers and state endangered Black Skimmers and Least Terns—just in time for this year’s spring migration and breeding season. Shorebird science research and advocacy has been at the forefront of New Jersey Audubon’s coast N www.NJAudubon.org RED KNOT HORSESHOE CRAB
  • 5. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON | 2014 ANNUAL REPORT 7 CITIESAND TOWNS www.NJAudubon.org ENGAGE AND EDUCATE — conducted here help document bird use and inform restoration efforts; a five-acre deer exclosure was installed to enable more focused habitat management. Throughout the spring, our education staff worked with middle school students to teach them about healthy habitats and then help them to identify and remove invasive plant species, and plant native species. Similar activities are underway at Petty’s Island in the Camden metropolitan area, where we are conducting programs to engage children and adults from urban schools and organizations in learning about the Delaware River Watershed, forest ecology and local history of the region. Our researchers are working alongside our educators to assess and collect data on critical bird and wildlife remaining in this heavily industrialized and urbanized watershed. While working in cities is a top priority for New Jersey Audubon, we are also addressing the challenge of connecting children to nature head-on through a significant expansion of our Youth Birding Program. There is no other organization better suited to bring the joy of nature through bird watching to children who otherwise would have never picked up a pair of binoculars. Support from individual donors and Zeiss Optics, Inc. has strengthened our already-popular Young Birders Club that has children attending field trips to birding hotspots around the state with some of the nation’s top naturalists. In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, we have continued to engage young people in the communities where they live. Finally, the New Jersey Eco-Schools USA program grew to over 150 schools thanks in part to grants from PSEG Foundation and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. This partnership with National Wildlife Federation strengthens teachers’ ability to integrate sustainable principles and practices throughout their schools and curricula. As suburban and urban development continue, your support of New Jersey Audubon becomes even more critical. By using a multidisciplinary approach to engage young people, train educators and facilitate outdoor exploration, New Jersey Audubon is in an enviable and unique position. We are at the forefront of connecting young people to nature and wildlife throughout the Garden State in a way that no other organization is suited to do. And thanks to you and your continued support, our record of achievement is surpassed only by our vision for the future. • here is a crisis in our nation and in our state: the average child spends more than six hours plugged into electronic media, and in a typical week, only six percent of children play outside on their own. This problem is magnified in our more populated, less affluent cities, where adults and children have little connection with their natural surroundings. As the state’s premier conservation organization, New Jersey Audubon is addressing today’s most pressing challenges facing wildlife in habitats across the state, but our focus in populated areas creating educational opportunities for diverse populations is equally important. Our talented staff and volunteer associate naturalists are connecting with thousands of individuals every year through our seven staffed nature centers. And, we are expanding well beyond these centers, bringing New Jersey Audubon to people where they live by reaching deep into their communities and providing opportunities to connect with nature. The urban and suburban landscape continues to endure great pressure from development and population expansion, and small pockets of natural habitat are becoming more valuable—to both wildlife and people. New Jersey Audubon excels at creating opportunities for transformational experiences through connecting people with nature, and these urban habitat patches provide ideal locations to meet people in their own communities. Yards, vacant lots and parks become oases amidst the built environment. Hawk Rise Sanctuary, in the city of Linden, is one of these oases. It is a model for collaborative research, education, and stewardship. Surveys T URBAN YOUTH BIRDING Conservation Education ClasS
