Project Role : SOA Developer
Technologies : Oracle SOA Suite 11g
Tools : JDeveloper 11g SQL Developer, Putty, Jenkin, SVN
Project Description:
Merchandising provides the ability for Airlines to unbundle the services traditionally offered as part of the
ticket (e.g.seat selection, baggage, etc.) and offer them as separate optional services, typically for a set charge.
A Shopping Cart is analogous to its name sake, providing an end-user the ability to select from a list of
product items and add them to a cart. The initial implementation of the cart will permit shopping for service
fees - provided by Horizon Service Fees in the form of a ‘Catalogue’ of fees, but there will be a future vision to
expand the shopping cart to permit selection of flight segments, fare quotes, etc.
When the user has completed their selection they proceed to a fulfilment flow (checkout) where payment is
taken, all the necessary booking updates are made, and documents are produced. This process is automated
such that the user is not involved with the detailed booking steps that occur within the process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Involved in Development of different interfaces.
Involved in unit testing using Junit
Involved in End to end test using wiremock.
Involved in Code review to check if the implementation is done as per soa best practices.
Involved in migrating code and MDS after new service specification release.
