3. characters
In actions films there is a clear battle between good and bad guys. There will be one
main hero on the good guy team who has a specific mission against a leading villain of
the bad guy team. Usually the hero is a intelligent, active individual and the villain is an
unintelligent individual who plots against this specific hero. The villain will be shown
off to the audience early on so they know who they should be against for the movie.
He will usually be introduced committing a crime or bad act. The hero however will be
introduced as a brave fearless hero.
4. Mise-en-scene
Usually the film will be set in a big modern city to give it a fresh new feeling, this also
can be seen in the vehicles use which are new and modern and usually used by the
hero. In the eyes of the audience this gives the hero a sense of style that appeals to
the younger generation.
The villain always has a reason or motive to go after and focus all their effort on the
hero, its usually discovered later on in the film how they became the villain.
Camera shots are wide and shot at a range to the action so that the audience doesn’t
become confused and can clearly see the whole conflict.
