in the very first scene the location of the film is displayed to be at privet drive, then at
the end of this sequence a letter displays the full location the main character is at.
3. MISE-EN-SCENE
The background of the film is established quickly in the opening scene of this film, for
example we know this will be a dark film based on wizards due to the fog and a man
who is dressed as a stereotypical wizard being the first character seen. Also the flying
bike and cat turning into a woman give off the feel that something isn't right.
4. IT INTRODUCES MAIN CHARACTERS
All key characters are introduced in the opening. They all come onto frame
individually meaning they are all focused on one at a time, this makes it more clear
for the audience to get to know these characters and not miss them out in the scene.

The mood and genre of the film is established very fast mainly due the the
background and mise-en-scene of the opening scene. It is established this is a
fantasy due to the magic and unnatural events occurring.
