2. The sub genre I shall be working with is Slasher. The
reason I chose Slasher is because this is my
favourite sub – genre within horror.
Because Slashers are my favourite sub – genre, I
feel that I have a good knowledge on them, and
how to create my own Slasher film which will
appeal to Slasher fans.
I think the reason why Slasher films are so
successful, is because horror movies tend to
include death, and Slasher movies take this to a
new extreme with gory, violent and new psychotic
ways to kill victims.

3.  Age: 18-25
 Gender: Male & Female
 Favourite type of movie: Horror
 They will be tempted to go and watch my film
because it is a brand new, fresh idea which focuses
on more of a ‘modern day’ killer. It is something that
the slasher horror industry has never seen before, and
will create a new Killer which audiences will love.
They would be tempted to go and watch my film
because it will have all the features that a slasher
movie is meant to have, but they will be presented in
a brand new way, in which my target audience just
could not resist going to watch my film.

4.  My film will feature a lot of blood and gore,
and keep to a lot of conventions of slasher.
The killer will have his iconic weapon, he will
be un-identifiable as he will wear a mask
and he will be psychologically disturbed.
 The film will feature a final girl, in which the
killer will hunt down in order to kill. But a long
the way, there will be a lot of other deaths
for the audiences pleasure.

5.  Conventions shall be challenged
however. In many slashers, the killer
seems to be impossible to kill. In my film, I
want to make the killer seem as human
as possible, to add a realism effect,
audiences nowadays are more
frightened by realistic situations, so by
making the killer seem as human as
possible effect, it will make audiences of
today more frightened of him.

6.  Saw: This inspired me to make the killer seem
human. Also, it inspired me to make killings into a
game for the killer.
 Freddy vs. Jason: This is movie I watched that
inspired me to chose to make a slasher.
Invitation only: This movie focuses on the publics
entertainment from watching people get killed. So
this inspired the idea that my killer kills to entertain
others.

7.  A psychotic man, kidnaps regular people and broadcasts an
online show, in which he plays games which kills people for
the publics entertainment. The more hits he gets on the
broadcast, the more unique and interesting the death is.
 When one girl (the final girl) escapes the killers vicious games,
she begins to get hunted by the psychopathic killer.
 Soon, all of her friends start to appear on the killers games.
 It will be set in modern times, and will be set in England. The
killers games will take place in a plain white room, which is in
the middle of nowhere.

8.  Trailer:
 A quick viewing of one of the killers games, then an
introduction to the final girl. Fast pace editing will
be used to create suspense for the audience, and
the trailer will end with a sting that will make the
audience jump.
