3. The plot
• A mental hospital is attacked by a murderer
with a hatred for mentally disabled people.
The staff are killed and the patients work
together to defeat the murder and escape.
4. Characters
• The main character is a small weak character
with Schizophrenia this makes him pitiable
and pathetic; his name is Daniel Myers. For
this role I would cast Jesse Eisenburg, because
he matches the overall physique of the
character and has proven his acting skills in
such films as zombie land and the social
network. Back up roles would go to Michael
Cera or Andy Samberg.
5. Characters continued
• There is also the other main character the
killer he is a large character who’s face is
covered for most of the movie he is very fit
and powerful. The actor I would want to play
him is Rory McCann, because he is a very
large, strong actor who has also proven his
acting skills in such works as game of throne
and hot fuzz. My back up actors would be
Elijah Wood and Tom Hardy.
6. Side characters
• Side characters include Debra Martell who I
would want Margot Robbie to play and I
would have unknowns play the various other
side characters that are only there for a good
death scene.
7. The director
• I would want the movie to be directed by
Guillermo Del Toro who is famous for such
works as Pans Labyrinth and The Strain. I
would want him, because I think that he
would nail the twisted nature of the
characters hallucinations adding another layer
of fear.
8. The target audience
• The target audience for this movie would be
young adults who are old enough to see the
movie, but also young enough to still be
interested in slasher movies; this would be 18-
25 year olds.
9. The setting
• This movie will be set in an isolated location
with no phone service this adds the fear that
the characters are cut off with no escape. The
area will be cold possibly with snow. Based on
the film setting I would have the movie filmed
in Scotland for it s mountainous cut off areas
and cold weather.
10. Comparisons
• I would compare my movie to other slasher
movies such as Halloween and scream,
because the movies all have the same basic
premise a killer killing all the characters. What
makes my movie different is the added fear of
the characters own hallucinations and
deteriorating insanity.
11. Budget
• The budget will be a reasonable price not too
high not too low so that the movie can look
good, but also not risk flopping. I would go
with a price of about 10 million.
12. Where to release?
• I intend to release my movie in mainstream
cinemas such as the Odeon, because I feel
that it will reach more people particularly my
target audience who would visit these
cinemas.
