Chest pain can occur for a wide variety of reasons. The
following are three causes of non-life-threatening forms
of chest pain.

3. Chest Pain
 1. Pinpoint chest pain. This type of chest discomfort changes with
breathing and is most likely to involve the lungs. It may be caused by
asthma, pneumonia, or an inflammation of the lung’s membranes.
2. Brief chest discomfort characterized as feeling like an electrical
shock. This form of chest pain can last for several minutes and may
result from nerve pain, inflammation, or musculoskeletal injury.
Conditions that can cause this type of chest pain include cracked
ribs, shingles on the chest, or a pulled muscle.
3. Chest pain that improves after exercise. Sharp chest pain that
gets better with movement may be caused by acid reflux or another
health condition. However, it is important to note that heart-related
chest pain is known to get worse after exercise.
