2.  Animation as we know it today, integrates,
drawing, paintings, or illustrations that are
photographed frame by frame in rapid
succession at 24 frames per second. When
combined with two-dimensional static art and
music, cinematic images come alive and the
viewer is transported to a world of make-
belive.

3. Back in 1868, John Barnes Linnet introduced the
kineograph, a flipbooks with pages of a series
of images. It like a notebook with several pages
that when flipped rapidly from one page to the
next, it will show a series of images as if they
were moving from one scene to the next.

4.  The first animated projection in France by
Charles Emile Reynaud’s praxinoscope in 1877.
 The first animation was project in public at the
Musee Grevin in Paris on October 28, 1892.
 The title of animation show was Pauvre Peirrot.
 In 1893, Eadweard Muybridge, zoopraxiscope
disc showed A Couple Waltzing Dance.

5.  He was the father of american animation. In
1900 there was Enchanted Drawing and in 1906
he showed the first entirely animated film,
Humorous Phases of Funny Faces.
 By 1910, animated short films had become an
industry of its own and cartoon movies were
shown in movie theaters.

6.  Cartoons were founded in 1300 and Walt
Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Drawfs
was released in 1937.
 In 1945, the first japanese anime film was
shown by japanese director Nitsuyo Seo as a
propaganda to support the war.
 Hanna Barbera released animation television
programs such as Terrytoons and The
Flintstones.

7.  Through the 1930s to 1950s animated
characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck,
Popeye, and Superman captured audencies
worldwide.
 Animated musical incorporate musical
numbers into the story narrative. Some
examples are Snow White, The lion King, and
Beauty and the Beast.

8.  Clay puppets and figures made of rubber,
cloth, and plastic resins were used for many
animation productions such as The Nightmare
Before Christmas and James and the Giant
Peach.
 Computer- Genarated Imagery was invented
and this revolutionized animation and in 1995
the first fully CGI animation.
 Pixar’s toy story was released.

9.  Human characteristics are project, including
facial expressions, feelings, and emotions.
Some examples are seen in The Polar Express,
Up, The Incredibles, and Avatar.
 In Incredibles are shown that the body can be
stretched, deformed, and with the ability to
move swiftly while speaking like human
beings.

10.  Filipino animation features characters from
comics like Kenkoy.
 The first filipino- made cartoon for television
was Panday by Gerry Garcia in the 1980’s. He
aslo used animation film Urduja in 2008 where
digital and traditional animation techniques
were used.

11.  The animation council of the Philippines was
organized to oversee and coordinate the
filipino animated industry.
 The Animahenasyon was established as an
award- giving body. It also offers training and
workshop on animation to children
