Făcăeni is a commune in Ialomita County, Romania consisting of the villages of Făcăeni and Progresu. It is located on the left bank of the Borcea River. The economy is predominantly agricultural, and fishing also provides income. Many residents have left for work in larger cities or abroad. In an unusual event, Făcăeni village was hit by a tornado that destroyed over 300 houses and forests, ending two lives.

Făcăeni is a commune in Ialomita County,
Muntenia, Romania, consisting of the villages of
Făcăeni (residence) and Progresu.The commune is located in the eastern part
of the county, on the left bank of the Borcea
Danube. The commune is crossed by DN3B,
which connects Feteştiul de Giurgeni.Historical
monuments:The architectural monument is the Aurel
Bentoiu Mansion, 300 m from the village of
Făcăeni, building dating from 1937.
