IMMERSE, EXPLORE, EXPRESS
As a group, we will immerse ourselves in 2
short films from our OLIVE Film Collection.
Together, we will explore the themes brought
up in the films through discussion.
Individually, we will express our thoughts
and feelings through writing exercises to
create poetry as a response.
21. #Poetry4MentalHealth
HOW ARE YOU, REALLY?
Inspired
that was really touching.
the answers sometimes are really within reach, we just have to
open our minds and think clearly
Each person lives a different battle
inspired
sometimes the solution is right in front of us but we need to look
at things from a new perspective
Really touching.. Each person is warrior
really inspiring we just have to set a vision to reach our targets
Direct solutions sometimes make us to think in only one direction

What can stand between
us and hope?
Doubt, fear of failure

Almost there., closer and closer,
but you just can’t grab on.
They are at the top of the mountain
trying to pull you up, just a little further.
You grab hold, take a step, see the world,
you are on top of the world. You are free.
With branches above and roots below
our rock, our anchor, the direction we grow
at what point do our roots go so deep they become immovable?
do anchors only weigh us down?
Our chains giving us a glimpse of freedom.
moving but only in circles, but always drawn back to our tree.
our roots.....our anchors
It's wet, yet a solid block. Thick, suffocating on all sides.
Scream, yet nothing comes out. A cold coffin to drag you down.
Press on, yet doesn't work. The harder you try, the thicker it gets.
The surface, a barrier. press on, yet try something new.
Suffocating in your mind. And yet, you are free.
The sounds return, the thumping subsides.
But how long before you must dive again
Reaching for the unreachable
feels like living invisible
at the moment when
what is visible in your mind
is not meaningful......
Reaching the unreachable,
nothing is unreachable for
humans.
Consistency is the key.
our thoughts make us powerful.
The fight is not with anyone else,
but with ourselves.
Embrace yourself.
Accept the failures.
next day you will come out
strong.
Thoughts can take there
where everyone might say it is
impossible.

HOW ARE YOU, REALLY?
That was touching
emotional
made me think of what i would say to a
younger version of myself if i had a chance
lonely
at least they find the company

What are some important
messages you’ve needed
to give yourself in order
to grow?
it's ok to say no
leave the past in the past
You don't need to change yourself for others
sometimes doing your best just means getting it
done
appreciate for who you are and where you are at
never enough
you don’t need take responsibility for everything
You dont need to impress

Darkest is the night; darkest is the tough
never be afraid cuz you'll overcome
time to let them go
embrace your future boy
best is yet to come
You'll never walk alone
Your candies are waiting at home
Youre where youre needed
you may not see it right now
but i love you now
Don't fear and go, A fire today,
Just memories, Another Day.
Enjoy the time, Enjoy the dream.
Fairytales, even,
Any can end.
Stay strong, stay true,
Awaits the future

Hope
to me I think its talking about how often our
curses can be our blessings to give. Our
struggles make us who we are and shape our
world view. things we may not like about
ourselves, or our "struggles" may be where we find
our creativity, and find our gift to share with the
world "May the hidden darkness be your gift to
give"

his new morning
a day of renewal
of death and rebirth.
another day of beauty.
a day to remember those now gone.
Allow their memories to bloom through the cool Samhain
air
like lilacs on a summer day
Fragrant flowers, blooming in spring.
makes me merry to pass though.
This new morning I woke up and everyone was home.
My cat Harry jumped up!
December is here boy!
I've missed the sunny days but I'm better off at home.
