Journeys draft three
1. VIDEO DRAFT 3:
For this format, going with a fast pace two images at least will appear drastically then
straight after that a video will play from the same setting, audio may even stay intact adding
to it. Moving onto the next chapter, the same will happen but with a different setting giving
a theme of repetition.
To make a start, files from the Party setting were included.
As the idea goes, two images will play out then the moving image will play.
To get a taste for the video before adding more files, I experimented with a few transitions
which will help make the advertisement how I want it. But a strange issue had been found
as the video played out.
Reusing the same clip that was included in the first draft, for some odd reason this time the
frame isn’t filling the screen as it should. Trying to fix this, I adjusted the frame size from ‘fit’
to 50% to see if that would change anything. That it did, but not for the best. The video size
was the correct proportion, but annoyingly for the pictures the frame zoomed right in.
As an experiment, I added an unwanted video to see if the frame would result the same.
And that it did.
2. As an attempt to fix this, I removed all the files added to the draft and redownloaded the
video I wanted included.
Reorganizing the file order, placing the video file before the images, the video plays through
how it should but as it gets to the picture, it zooms right in. As of this, I may not even be
able to complete what I have in mind for this draft. And maybe even the other as that was
to include image files as well. Unless actually, I find a way to make the frames the same size
for every file.
Using Snapseed, an expanding tool has been used to help the images fit in with the video.
This being the result. I did as suggested which was to only expand the left side of the image.
Adding it to the video, it almost wasn’t accepted due to being a PNG file. Fixing that, the file
name was changed to JPEG. Which then lead to...
3. Fitting better than before, it was still pretty tight. So again, I went back onto Snapseed and
expanded every corner. That I should not have done.
Trying again, only the sides of the image will be expanded as hopefully that should be all
that’s needed.
Only expanding the sides now, it still didn’t go to plan. Of all, the first attempt was the best
one with only the left side expanded. Fair do it is still zoomed in, but you can actually see
the image.
Trying again, only the left side and the top of the image had been expanded. Not fully either,
half-way for both.
4. Yeah, that still didn’t work. Rather than spending too much time messing about with the
frame size though the first attempt will be the final as that still results better than the rest.
It’s not going to be fun having to do this for every image to be included like but hey ho got
to get it done.
Not having the time, this plan has been scrapped.
