2. Project Goal
To build a cloud integrated smart
parking system, which is used to
monitor and signalize the state of
availability of each single parking space
using a website which provides that an
end user to check the availability of
parking space.
3. Why it is needed?
With increase in the
population, number of
vehicles increases and due
to unmanaged parking it
leads to many problem.
4. Oh no, I am already late and
there is no parking space
available. I wish I had a reserved
parking space
5. Introduction
• People owning vehicles face parking problems in most metropolitan area,
especially during peak hours.
• We use ultrasonic sensors for sensing parking slot occupancy.
• We now use a WiFi modem NodeMCU for internet connectivity and for
operating the system.
• The user can book a slot through the website a few minutes prior to his
arrival or when they are within a certain distance from the parking space.
6. • Network congestion can cause a delay
sometimes.
• The website can get crashed due to
overload.
• The system will stop working if the
sensors get damaged or stopped working.
Problem Description
22. Benefits
• Use of limited parking spaces is made efficiently .
• User knows where exactly he has to park his car.
• This plays a major role for making the environment pollution
free by reducing the emission of NO2, CO2 and CO.
23. Limitations
• Every user has to do the registration to use the system.
• The user needs to park at the same slot which he booked.
• The user should vacant the parking space at given time.
• System fails if sensors stopped working.
24. Future scope
• The sense of abundance will come from the provision of 'right
parking at the right place at the right time’.
• We believe that Smart Parking System has the potential to be a
major game-changer not only in the smart parking segment,
but also in the overall mobility ecosystem of present cities and
smart cities of the future.
25. Conclusion
• Smart Parking System is a solution to the existing problem of locating a
parking spot for your vehicle.
• This system provides accurate information about the vacancy of parking
slots in the nearest areas.
• The proposed system shows accurate results and the data gets stored in
the database successfully.
• Any user can easily see the status of the parking space and can book a
slot for themselves from anywhere.
