1. Being Aisyah!
Meet the newest artist on the block!!! She`s smashed the charts with her latest
single `Fly`, which has rocketed to number one, four days after the initial
release. She has achieved the award for the youngest artist to reach no. 1 in
less than a week. Her singing dream is said to be her life ambition. She can
sing. She can dance. Her talents are said to be, by famous singer Rihanna,
`endless` and `out of this world`…
Her name is Aisyah Sobirin. And this is her story of how she became a super
pop sensation in just over two years. Wow! Two years! To go from being an
average school girl to a pop superstar sensation. Can you even image it?...Well
she did?
THE INTRO...
As we all know she started out by auditioning for the amazing, worldwide
singing and dancing contest in America, called `Steal The Show` in the year
2013. This contest is known for producing the best ,modern pop artist in the
quickest time taking them to the top. They are easily recognized and have
known to take artists even as young as 14 to fame and luxurious lifestyles. Her
talent was highly revealed and she was credited for her amazing ability to
create awesome vibes and rhythm in her performances.. She made it to the
live shows but then, then to everyone’s surprise, was let go by the judges.
THE SETBACK...
`This was a major setback`, quotes Aisyah, `but this didn’t stop me!! This event
occurred on live TV where millions of viewers witnessed her tragic defeat by a
competing artist who won the judges votes to remain in the competition. What
an experience? From one minute being highly credited to being outvoted by
those same judges. She sums up that particular experience as tough and
completely , 100% HARD CORE. Being rejected that far into the singing and
dancing competition was a hard thing to face, (quotes Aisyah) but this did not
stop this determined girl to fulfil her dreams. So what did she do? Did she quit?
STARTING A FRESH...
Well yes. But it was only for a short period of time before, her inner ambition
was calling out! She knew that this miner setback was not going to stop her, so
she started independently performing and with the help of supporting friends
and family became a widely known you tuber. She quotes that her only
struggles were earning pocket money for the filming equipment. So she got a
local job at a shoe shop uptown. As tiring as it was she still kept persevering
and slowly progressed to becoming a widely watched you tuber.
2. After one year of videos her name was well known by many students her age
and she became a YouTube sensation to many young viewers who were
interested in performances such as singing and dancing. She also set up
tutorials to young viewers who had the passion to sing and dance. Her
YouTube channel became widely know, not just in America but in the UK.
Finally she was spotted out by a wealthy, highly known record label that
offered her the opportunity to perform at smallish gigs in LA. From that point
on her life was looking up. She became popular to wide audiences, had the
opportunity to perform with celebs and worked her way up to creating her
own single- which became number one hit in 2015.
We recently interviewed Aisyah here's what she had to say to the following
questions...
1.What was the most challenging thing you had to face?
`Getting the courage to perform in front of big audiences`.
2.What advice would you give to your fans?
`To keep on believing and don't give up no matter what happens or whoever
puts you down.`
3.How long did it take to produce your first hit single?
`After months of writing lyrics and combining a tune (with the help of friends),I
was finally able to make a song worthy of the charts.
Her final comment , that inspires many young artists is her well known quote
`don't give up`! well we've seen her in action, we know her story and she has
proven that it can be done , to achieve fame.
