Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) worked with the U.S. Army to successfully migrate the Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) system to AWS GovCloud. This project was part of a Department of Defense (DoD) strategic move to migrate many of its mission-critical applications to the cloud. This session will highlight how the Army leveraged the HPE Application to enable a Cloud Transformation & DevOps approach. You will hear insight from both the Army and HPE.
TAMIS is the munitions requirements generator, prioritization tool and reporting application for HQDA and subordinate Army organizations. TAMIS manages training, combat and test requirements, prepares forecasts and requests for issue. TAMIS validates, approves and distributes munitions authorizations and collects expenditures. TAMIS is a Mission Essential Information System.
TAMIS is built on Microsoft Enterprise software and interfaces with a variety of systems.
