In 4 groups, the class will give a group presentation on the Universal
Themes of each reading.

Maintain eye-contact with your

deep breath if you catch yourself
speaking too fast
Prepare small note cards for reference
during presentation
Have a well organized (introduction,

support your ideas

Stare at note cards, floor, ceiling,

Use sloppy language “um”,
“things”, “like”, etc.
Fidget, sway, tap your foot, etc.:
only use gestures to emphasize
the most important points
Speak too quickly: could result in
not meeting the time limit or
loosing audience attention
Speak so low you cannot be
heard
Wait till the last minute to
practice your speech
