Presently working in Simco Engineering Limited Trichy as a Quality inspector since Fep2015 to till date. It is situated in
Trichirapalli, Tamil Nadu, and Manufactures Energy Meters and Defense projects supplied to various utilities.
Possesses strong engineering capability in design and manufacture of energy meters as well as Manufacturing of Electrical and
Electronics systems & Sub-Systems for Ministry of Defense entities such as the Ordnance Factories, Indian Naval Service as
well as the Indian Air force.
Previous Company Profile :
Previous worked in Harihar alloys (P) ltd as a Quality inspector since June 2013 to Jan 2015. It is situated is one of the leading
steel industries (foundry & forge shop) in south India, manufacturing carbon steel, low alloy steel and stainless steel castings &
forgings. Some of the industries we serve would include valve, earth moving, pump, automobile and engineering firms. The
castings and forgings delivered include multitude of valves, flanges, fittings and couplings which comply with relevant ASTM,
ASME, API, BS, DIN, EN, JIS, ISO and Indian standards.
Besides providing comprehensive and cost conscious production services, we can also fulfill your casting and forging
requirements from concept, design, prototype to final product based on your requirements. Our fully integrated manufacturing,
quality and delivery processes are designed to guarantee flexibility in our supply chain. Our committed workforce and design
team is more than delighted to work in compliance with your quality standards and meet your inventory demands.
Responsibility:
Responsible for Incoming Material Inspection & process control test
Make the inspection of our sub contract parties like as the incoming quality inspector.
Also to inspect the jobs in process as per the quality sampling plan with reference of customers drawing.
Then make the vendor visit to give clarifications about drawings, materials issues and urgency of our customer.
If the job is fully inspected then make the reports and deviations of the jobs and how to clear that issue of that deviation.
Finally at the dispatch time we have to send the documentation like Material certificate, Self Inspection Report, Calibration certificates
of our instruments to our customers.
Analysis of in-process rejection, Supplier rejection & Customer rejection
Verification of implementation of corrective action arising from the non confirmative in receipt/ In process product
Shop floor components (Machining, Forging& Grinding) Inspections doing by using Micro hit (TESA 350 i) & Profile Projectors
(MITUTOYO AND BATTY).
High Precision &Low tolerance Cylindrical Components Roundness, Cylindricity & straightness Inspection doing by using Roundness
Tester (Non – Destructive testing Use to MPI, LPT, Eddy current test.
Job Responsibilities :
Hardness testing – Rockwell Hardness test .use to Fine testing machine
Checking at Vibration testing - 20 frequency
Water Leakage testing – use to pressurized air
Handling Electrical & Electronics testing Equipments
Handling Customer complaints
Maintaining performance data of the suppliers, Supplier visit for quality improvements as and when necessary.
Control plan, work instruction & Check list preparation on the basis of specifications and time to time necessary updating on the basis
of problem related feedback
Analysis of rejections on daily basis through collection of data from Process Quality monitoring.
Planning and initiating corrective and preventive actions on the non-conforming items.
Application of statistical techniques/ tools to in-process parameters for monitoring & controlling the critical process parameters
. Process audit effectiveness on Final Assembly line of Reflector & Accessory of Dish Antenna.
Functional verification of new item on line & submit the report
. Audit major NCs observed in process & ensure corrective actions from concerned department.
Study & Development of jigs & fixture to reduce inspection time and error in inspection
Measuring Equipment Handled:
Collaborate with Res customers’ quality and engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of
design. Make recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost effective
production.
Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques
1. Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerance, and materials related issues.
2. Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing
resources.
3. Effectively communicate and reinforce Res’ commitment to quality improvement efforts
Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product lunches to meet customer requirements.
Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes. Review and analyze results.
Recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement
systems during new tool or process design and startup.
Coordinate pre-launch production trial run process monitoring.
Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Maintain Control Plans and FMEA's throughout the life of the part.
Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action
Systems Management :
Recommend and implement enhancements to the quality system that result in improved corporate quality performance, increased
customer satisfaction, and/or simplification of processes to reduce costs.
Ensure Res’ readiness for all internal and external quality audits.
1. Develop the annual audit plan, train internal audit team members, perform necessary duties as Res’ Lead Internal Auditor
and provide ongoing communication/reporting of results.
2. Coordinate and direct external 3rd party registration/surveillance audits
Oversee the controlled document system, to include a final review of all changes to procedures, work instructions, forms, master
lists and other associated documents to ensure quality certification requirements are met.
Participate in quality reporting and management review process
o Monitor the Periodic Review Matrix to ensure repetitive quality requirements are met.
o Manage quality metrics and present findings and recommendations to the management review team.
Organizational Relationships:
Internal – Regularly interact with Materials, Quality, Engineering, Sales, and all Manufacturing functions.
External – Regularly interact with all levels of customers and prospects.
