2. Pixel Art
First real experience with pixel art and I
really enjoyed using it. I used my phone
to find something I wanted to try and
create and I thought a Poke ball would be
a good start and afterwards it does look
good. After I tried a Christmas tree and it
doesnโt look amazing it Iโm learning.
These last two images are linked to my story, one is a cure and
the other the virus. I thought just making a quick little breaker
of color that can be used for a virus and cure.
Positives are pixel art is quite easy to pick up on and get
your head round and then you can make cool and cute
designs.
Negatives you do need a steady hand and some level of art
skills so you can have a really detailed pixel drawing of
whatever you need.
3. Soundtrack 2/12/20
Started going through all the available sounds on
garage band to if I could find ones that would sound
good overlapped. Like the track I currently have. I
also tried to find sounds that had a similar sound to
video games Iโve seen or played because having that
gives you a solid building block for the animation.
After a bit more of playing
around with different sounds I
found one that I quite liked
and thought with the other to
been a mix why not a have a
base layer of just one
continuous beat as a
foundation for the two tracks
above. I feel like most video
games have one base tracks
with added sounds like Mario,
one soundtrack with added in
noises for finishing a level,
getting a power up, or killing
an enemy like browser.
Everything today went well I
managed to use sounds that
to me fit in with a video game
style and the final 3 tracks that
are now finished and saved Iโm
super happy with. The only
thing I kind of struggled with
was lining the sounds up with
how I wanted them all to be
and how they would fit if one
was longer than the one
above or below. Apart from
that very small issue I am
extremely happy with my
progress today and just how
much I did manage to start,
learn and finish.
