2. Future
The future is most the unpredictable thing on this earth and one of the many things we do not have control
over. As unpredictable as it is it also holds a major part in our development as people.
Many things cannot be controlled and the future is one of these things because there is no possible way we
can predict what our individual future but we can play our part in setting it up. As children we are all told to
study and work hard during our school years because further down the line of life we will look back at them
and think wow without that I wouldn’t be where I am today. Hard work and a good education and really help
you improve your future even from being little in year 6 sitting your Sat's or in year 11 sitting your GCSE’s each
and every exam, mock or piece of revision that you put into life will pay majorly once it comes to getting a job
or buying things for yourself.
You can always have your dreams but sometimes you do have to understand that things are not going to
happen and you need to rethink. When you are younger it is easy to think that your future will hold exactly
what you want. Take may those who love football and back when we were all little we would be out playing
with friends pretending that we were playing for Real Madrid, Liverpool or even for our countries in the World
Cup but as we got older and began playing Sunday League football, started new schools or college, started
having more personal feelings like relationships, having mental health start to play a part we begin to
understand that those dreams we used to have were amazing but now it is time too focus on setting up life.
Getting a job, earning a salary and providing for ourselves.
3. Predictions
The future cannot in any human way be predicted but we do see predictions made based on the years before
and how the current world state is. As seen since 2020 the Covid 19 pandemic has been the main thing in the
last two yearly predictions of 2021 and 2022.
The beginning of each year people will create yearly predictions for what they wish to happen for them during
that year and how they hope life becomes better..
My question for the age group in question is
What do you want your future to hold?
Would it be getting your dream job? Having a better relationship with your family? Would it be meeting that
one special person and building your lives together? Or maybe making sure you build on your current
friendships? Or even maybe having a family at a young age and trying to really make a life early (although that
might be pushing it because having children is a major thing)
4. My Personal Future Hopes
Now I like most people growing up absolutely loved my sports and I always dreamt of growing up and to one day be putting
on the red of Liverpool and walking out under the This Is Anfield sign and hearing the roar from the Kop blasting our You’ll
never walk alone before kick out. The main dream was to one day captain Liverpool to Premier League glory or win the
Champions League and to hold the trophy above my head or just to feel the rush of scoring a goal in front of the Kop and
celebrating in front of the fans and hearing the fans chanting your name.
As I’ve gotten older things have changed I still wish I could become a famous sports star but it’s no longer football but now
the NFL and playing Quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars and becoming the franchise quarterback the team have needed
or take over from the current franchise star Trevor Lawrence or back Lawrence up and try see the turning of the tide in Duval
after years and years of disappointment and see us into an AFC Championship game but unlike every title game in the teams
history go that one step further and go to the Super Bowl or just win a few league MVP’s and create a hall of fame legacy.
Now though I am older enough to understand these things are extremely hard to manage so I began focusing on myself
getting a job, providing for myself more and starting to repay my parents for everything they have done for me in the first 17
years of my life.
5. NFL-National Football League
The NFL is the most popular sport in the America but is rapidly becoming a more popular sport across the
globe and the league try to push advertising more worldwide. Every year since 2007 teams have come across
the play a game in London and that has only become more and more popular as time as progressed. 2020 has
been the only year where no team came because the pandemic. But this year the games were both fantastic
and I was lucky enough to visit both games and the atmosphere was electric and seeing just how popular the
games have become is amazing for me because I became a fan in 2017 and since then every Sunday I have sat
watching NFL redzone or trying to watch every game in the playoffs and even the Super Bowl.
I became a fan because the limited games that were shown back then was when the Jacksonville Jaguars made
their stunning run to the AFC Championship where they suffered heartbreak at the hands of Tom Brady and
the New England Patriots see these underdogs go so close to going all the way made me become a fan of the
team but also the sport.
Many of 6 teams now allow their merchandise to be sold here in the UK showing that the game is becoming
more and more popular and the teams are doing their part in order to create a world wide fan base.
6. NFL in England
For me I have always loved the quarterbacks and been a Jaguars fan that seems rather silly
considering our quarterback play has been horrible since the early 90’s but now having Trevor
Lawrence and enough though he had a pretty bad rookie season he did show signs that his once in a
generational talent that he showed at Clemson can be found again and he can lead this young and
talented roster to big things in the future.
Here in England the league have done what they can to create fans here of the game here. The
London games is the main way of this and they all have been popular since it began back in 2007.
The NFL academy created and founded in London gives boys aged 16-18 the chance to go play the
game and train to build themselves up and over time slowly try to earn a place at an American
college playing the game for real.
For me this is the future I would love to end up going to London and becoming the quarterback of
the team and really show what I can do and improve and improve as time goes on and the biggest
dream would to be getting an offer from one the big colleges and playing in the famous colors. Like
the Orange of Clemson, Purple, White and Yellow of LSU or the dark Red of Alabama. Or just getting
an offer from any college and really showing what I can do and maybe get the slim chance of getting
into the draft and maybe been drafted by Jacksonville or just any NFL team.
