8. Rescue Bumper
This project is about car crashes. Did you know,
Nearly 1.25 million people die in
road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths
a day. We hope to reduce this large amount of
deaths greatly with our project. It is a simple
sensor which senses the amount of pressure. If
the pressure is too high (pressure of a car
crashing into it) it will alert the micro-controller
of the threat. That micro controller will send a
message to a nearby hospital or call emergency
services. It will have a GPS system which can
send the live location to the rescuers.

Aim of the project
• make roads safer by decreasing the amounts of
deaths and severe injuries caused by car crashes
worldwide.

Methods and Materials
we will use pressure sensor to detect the pressure
on the car when it gets in an accident. We will put
a limit for the pressure if it exceeds the limit that
means the car crashed then the signal will be sent
to an Arduino which will send the location of the
car to emergency services.

• The project will decrease the amount of death
occurs because of car accidents. Since the
project can message emergency services

• This idea should be implemented in all cars to help
reduce the injuries and death caused by car accidents.

• During our participation in Al-Bairaq program
we have gained different skills such as problem
solving, critical thinking through the different
activities that we done to learn about smart
sensors
