Guidance Personnel; Specialist, librarian, parents and community
Procedure in evolving a guidance program, proposed five-year plan for a
guidance program, scope and its history
The hasty need of guidance program in our country gives awareness to the part
of the government. Today, guidance courses are offered in college, seminars and work
conferences to let anyone be informed about the significant in having a guidance
program and what effect it would bring to our country. There is no formula for a
guidance program; no two schools can have the same program because the needs and
problems of pupil’s vary. Yet, there are procedure in evolving a guidance program and
these procedures serves as a guide for all who wants to develop a guidance program.
Preparing a guidance program takes a lot of time and effort. The need of equipped
guidance personnel’s are also needed. They may have school visitation, attend
seminars and other conferences for them to be prepare on their responsibility because
the success of the program lies in their hands.
Other successful counselors also designed a proposed plan of such program,
however, this are just patterns and may change time to time because every pupil in a
particular school have different needs. Yet, guidance services must still render in all
institutions to have definite assistance to the individuals. Personnel’s may create an
activity to assist individual securing their knowledge and skills that is useful in facing the
reality of life.
Since the birth of guidance is the result of quest and credit by many, it is obvious
that guidance program involved more than just one person. Different ideas and
psychology expert needed to sustain individual’s need.
The lesson I learned from this topic is the need of taking a responsibility and
collaboration. A certain organization will never be successful if there is no division of
2. task and no coordination at all. Organization is just like a group work in the classroom
activities where the cooperation of all the members is significant to accomplish a certain
task. This topic also encourages me to develop cooperative attitude for it can be useful
especially in becoming a teacher. It also gives me a hint about the secret tool in
achieving a desired outcome. Lastly, I was so blessed that I was one of the reporter of
this topic because I learned a lot from it, not just the procedure, scope and history of
guidance but also the significant of guidance program and how it can help people in
need. Guidance program really serves as our light when we are in darkness.
