The positionin questionisforRetail Salesperson whowillbe workingdirectlyunderthe Department
Manager and the AssistantDepartmentManager. Candidate musthave excellentcustomerrelations
skills,alsoaHighSchool diplomaorequivalentisdesirable andwe feel thatitwill enhance the new
hire’sjobsuccess.Taskswill alsoinclude butare notlimitedto;
 Greetcustomersandascertainwhat eachcustomer wantsor needs.
 Describe merchandiseandexplainuse,operation,andcare of merchandise tocustomers.
 Recommend,select,andhelplocate orobtainmerchandisebasedoncustomerneedsand
desires.
 Compute salesprices,total purchasesandreceiveand processcashor creditpayment.
 Answerquestionsregardingthe store anditsmerchandise.
 Prepare salesslipsorsalescontracts.
 Maintainknowledge of currentsalesandpromotions,policiesregardingpaymentand
exchanges,andsecuritypractices.
 Maintainrecordsrelatedtosales.
 Demonstrate use oroperationof merchandise.
 Place special ordersorcall otherstoresto finddesireditems.
