1. On the top deck there is flags from Mexico and the
Dominican Republic. These are 2 countries from
South America. This resembles the mixed ethnicity
of the characters in the play. Pictures Washington
Bridge are provided as this bridge is going to be
built as it is going to be in the background of the
set. Trash cans are very common on the streets of
America so we are going to use these cans. The
building in the heights are dirty and not looked
after so we think that the buildings will have this
look.
We get the feel that this is
what the set may look like
as it has a clear view of
Washington Bridge in the
back ground
2. The main part of our set is going to be graffiti.
Paint and spray paint will need to be used for
this including vibrant colours like green orange
and red. These are a few words that we could
use however our initial idea is to use the word
‘Rap’ as rap music is used a lot throughout the
play. These two images are what we are wanting
and expect the graffiti set to look like when we
have finished. Graffiti will not occur a lot in the
set but we are still including it as the character,
‘Graffiti Pete’ should be symbolized.
3. These are a few of the materials that we will need for the
set. We have aid how much we will need of these
materials and where we will get them from on another
document. We have also justified a reason as to why we
are using these materials. Bin liner, drain pipe, moss,
door numbers, ivy, flower boxes, washing line, fire
escape.
