Senior Headend Manager
Responsible for managing nine counties with fifty-one facilities and administering all
activity related to their operation. Developed and implemented operational procedures to
ensure compliance with state, county and company requirements while monitoring
department performance to ensure reliability and optimum facility performance.
Responsible for department operational and capital budgets for four regions including new
build, rebuild, channel changes, system upgrades, and advanced services implementation.
Within this roll I have created, developed and administrated the budget model and
justifications for the department to oversee multimillion dollar projects throughout the
company as well as reviewing and interpreting financial and operating information while
coordinating and developing periodic operational analyses to reduce cost within the
department.
Responsible for the platform stability, disaster recovery, event management, maintenance
and deployment strategies for monitoring and reporting of critical infrastructure
components such as but not limited to; DC Plants, Generators, UPS systems, HVAC, Fire
Suppression, Security, Transport Systems and Overall System Integrity.
Coordinated and communicated with municipalities, vendors, industry experts, associates,
and cross domain departments such as but not limited to: Video Engineering, Video

multiple departments including: Headend, Field, Network, and Video Operations to

implementation.
Created, standardized and implemented the following high level documents: Quote
Templates, Budget Justifications, Budget Calculators, Process Documentation, Method of
Procedure documentation for projects and tasks, Employee Incentive Program, Monthly
Preventative Maintenance Checklist, Scope of Work documentation for turnkey projects

receivers, switchers, timers, local ad inserters, digital network ring, up converters, XOD
servers, cable modem routers, Ethernet hubs, QAM modulators, QPSK modulators and
demodulators, real-time encoders, fiber transmitters and receivers, AC/DC power plants,
stand-by power systems, facility generators, status monitoring equipment. Additionally
any associated DHCT’s, converters, and modems.
Conduct Headend calibration to meet FCC performance tests, QAM constellation
distortions, and field system performance tests.
Follows established procedures for inventory control, vendor repaired items, shipping,
receiving, ordering, and maintenance records on all equipment and parts.
Insured compliance of system leakage with CLI monitoring requirements in the Headend,
thorough calibration, detection, and repair.
Utilize computer to acknowledge status monitoring alarms, set-up lasers, replace MQAM’s,
replace QPSK modulators, update spreadsheets, access UPS information, access NOC web
information, changes to SA system manager and replace satellite receivers.
Requests the maintenance of facilities to include but not limited to security systems, fire
systems, air conditioners, phone lines, AC power, generators, transfer switches, fuel,
painting, roofs, UPS’s, fences, lawns, and sprinklers.
