• Aman Gupta was an ordinary employee before he founded boAt, a fashionable consumer
electronics brand.
• He founded an audio brand company, with his partner Sameer Mehta in 2016 that sells everything
from headphones to earphones and portable chargers.
• Today, he is one of the biggest entrepreneurs in India with a leading ear wearable brand, with
revenues exceeding Rs. 1000 crore.
• Before becoming an entrepreneur, he was a chartered accountant.
• Before founding boAt, Gupta has a long working experience in different fields. He joined Citi Bank
as Assistant Manager just after his schooling, where he worked for two years.
• Gupta’s entrepreneurship began in 2005 when he founded Advanced Telemedia Pvt. Ltd. where he
assisted several multimedia companies, including Beats Audio, Telex, Sennheiser, etc.
• After this, in 2011, he joined KPMG’s Strategy Services Group as a senior management consultant.
• Then he worked at HARMAN International as a director of sales, overseeing the business
development of brands such as Apple, Nokia, Micromax, etc.
• Finally, in 2016, he founded boAt with Sameer Mehta.
• In 2021, he became one of the judges in the show ‘Shark Tank India’. The show is based on the
entrepreneurs who bring up heir ideas to the show and convince the judges to invest in their ideas.
