3. Introduction
Each place on Earth has its own climate and this determines the
way of life of its people
In the Philippines, we have a tropical climate characterized by
months of dry and hot season alternating with periods of rains as
we see the sun the whole year round.

4. CLIMATE
Is described as the condition of the atmosphere over a long
period of time.
It is determined by two factors: Temperature & Precipitation

FACTORS

• TROPICAL REGIONS: areas
from the equator to 25
degrees north and south
• TEMPERATE ZONES: from the
Tropic of Cancer and/or Tropic
of Capricorn to 66.5 degrees
• POLAR REGIONS: From
66.5 degrees to 90
degrees to the north and
south.

WARM CURRENTS CARRY
WATER FROM LOW TO HIGH

TYPHOON IS A TROPICAL CYLCONE
THAT EXCEEDS 118 kph
Storm surge or tidal wave
A marked disturbance in the normal state of the atmosphere. The
term is often applied to a disturbance in which strong wind is the
most prominent characteristic, and specifically to a wind force of 11
on the Beaufort scale. It is also used for other types of disturbance,
including thunderstorms, rainstorms, snowstorms, hailstorms, dust
storms, sand storms, magnetic storms. etc. (PAG-ASA retrieved
