Lessons are technology assisted – the use of
mobile phones is emphasised.
Compulsory education is autonomous,
flexible and council funded.
Students are given the freedom to choose
subjects according to their needs and
interests in Upper Secondary Education.
Students can study full-time or part-time
and obtain their school leaving certificates
through a credit accumulation system.
There is a wide choice of foreign languages
(even Japanese).
Multiculturalism prevails (there are
students coming from 20 different
countries of origin in one school).
Special needs students can communicate
their desires through eye gaze technology.
Classroom doors are open while lessons are
held.
Practical subjects such as cookery, sewing
and carpentry are emphasised.
