2. Artist and Song
S The artist I want to use is Ed Sheeran.
S The track is Thinking out loud.
S The reason I have chosen this track is because the voice and
the way it is sung is perfect for the voice of the singer I’m using.
I also have a good idea of the kind of narrative I want to use
and I know how I will record it.
3. Concept
S My intention for the concept of the video is to have two
different scenes.
S 1: I will record the singer performing the piece with
various camera angles and shots
S 2: I will record two friends of mine (who are a couple)
messing around with each other, a lot like the scenes
from James Blunts video Goodbye My Lover.
4. Influences from other videos
S The two scenes I mentioned in the previous slide are
influenced from the music videos for:
S Goodbye My Lover – James Blunt
S All of Me by - John Legend.
S Thinking Out Loud – Ed Sheeran acoustic session
5. Representation of the artist
S For the music video I will use the girl to the
right.
S She will wear a red checkered top to the
right, with black jeans and a black t-shirt
underneath, she will also be wearing
glasses.
S The reason she will be wearing these
clothes is because its what Ed Sheeran
wears and would be a good way to
represent the artist.
6. Target Audience
S My target audience would be people aged between 13
and 25.
S The reason for this is because this is the average age of
people who listen to Ed Sheeran – typically young
people.
S I hope to attract my audience by using this as an Ed
Sheeran cover. Generally the name Ed Sheeran would
attract a lot of Ed Sheerans fans.
7. Locations
S I will use two locations
S 1: My friends house
S 2: An empty room at my house
8. Promotion
S I will create a design for a diggy pack and a promotional
poster to advertise the song.
S I will also be uploading the video onto YouTube and other
social media platforms.
