2. What is a digipak
• A Digipak is the packaging for CDs or
DVDs, typically made from card bored in
a plastic holder, holding one or more
discs. They open up and usually are split
into three parts. One section on the
right, left and centre. The centre portion
usually holds the actual CD.
• Digipaks also include visual images,
album title, artist/band name,
background information.

• Title
• Artist/Band name
• Genre aspect
• Artist/band visuals, pictures, logo or art
The front usual has a link to the artist/bands
brand image and has a large emphasis on a
artistic or creative layout and it is the first thing
the audience sees. The design is made to
appeal to the target audience of the genre.

5. Spine
• Band / artist name
• Album title
• Record label.

6. Back
• Images that link into the ongoing theme
• Track list
• Some form of credits to record label or
manager
• Barcode
• Copyright info

7. Inside
• Pages that link to the front and back and
follow the colour scheme
• Sometimes booklets or visuals, song lyrics or
posters
