2. Blogger
Blogger, at first was difficult to use because it was new to me as I have never
used it before however after 10 or so blog posts I got used to it and could
easily change any settings for any problems I was having with posts
themselves or just adding in extra things to the posts or changing things to
posts.
As the course went on I was able to put Voki’s into my blog posts by pasting
the HTML code in as well learning to embed links such as with Prezi’s. This
meant that I could set out my work better and keep all my work in one place
easier and made the blog seem more interesting.
3. Google Search
Google, is something I am used to using daily so I had no problems with
having to look stuff up or what to use to get tutorials (YouTube is normally
best for tutorials) or information for any posts. This was very helpful when I
had to research different music magazines or when I had to look up any music
magazine content.
This meant that I could learn how to do something in Photoshop by looking
up tutorials on what I wanted to do by checking forums and watching tutorial
guides.
4. Voki
Voki would allow me to put words into text without me having to record
my own voice which would take a lot more time then just typing in what I
wanted, this helped to save time.
5. YouTube
YouTube, is the place i went to if i needed a tutorial on how to something
in Photoshop such as: how to apply effects to images.
This site is also what i used if i was having trouble with either learning
how to use Prezi or how to embed a link onto blogger.
6. Photoshop
Photoshop, was the most complicated program I have had to use while
doing this blog work, it's a program I have never used before and was
complicated but the more and more I used it the more I got used to it, I
learned a few basic things when I did the newsletter but i sort of knew
what I was doing by the time I had to create the pages for my music
magazine I still don't know about what some tools do and still have
trouble applying different effects but I know enough to be able to create
the work I have done using Photoshop.
I did have to look up how to do in Photoshop though for example how to
apply effects.
7. Prezi
I used Prezi a few times because even though it does make a presentation
more interesting and interactive and is easier to add in music in the
background as well voice over then in Microsoft PowerPoint but it was
slow and would take a while to load up at times and was difficult to get
things set out perfectly how I wanted it to be out so it was a waste of time
sometimes. It would have been quicker to just use PowerPoint instead and
just looked for a tutorial on how to add in things like music and voice
overs.
8. InDesign
InDesign was another software I wasn’t aware of how to he out use at first
but I did get used to it when I had to set out the layout of my magazine.
This software did allow me to set out pages so they look professional and
so I would have a plan for my magazine pages.
