Application Eligibility Gates are directly linked to Navy policy and are designed to prevent the submission of
invalid job applications. Their purpose is to keep you from applying for jobs to which Navy policy would not
allow you to be assigned. If you receive a Gate and believe that your application is valid, consult the provided
references in the gate text and contact your Command Career Counselor and or Detailer.

Gates are displayed when you attempt to submit an application and must be acknowledged before the
submission can be finalized. Acknowledged Gates are then captured in your Alert History, accessible through
your Personnel Detail.

CMS/ID displays the following Application Eligibility Gates:

                                                                                                       Recruiting (SEMINAR) program (6 months or less).

   Sailors assigned to the C7F or        COT Gate                                                      Naval policy dictates that no orders will be written for a
   CNFJ AOR for requisitions within                                                                    retour in the CNFJ/C7F AOR without an approved COT
                                         CMS/ID indicates that you do not have Consecutive

                                    CMS/ID indicates that your Exceptional Family Member
                                                                                                   category and review date must be current to ensure
                                    (EFM) information update has not been received and/or
                                                                                                   adequate medical facilities and services are available to
                                    approved by Navy Personnel Command (NPC).

  • 1. Application Eligibility Gates are directly linked to Navy policy and are designed to prevent the submission of invalid job applications. Their purpose is to keep you from applying for jobs to which Navy policy would not allow you to be assigned. If you receive a Gate and believe that your application is valid, consult the provided references in the gate text and contact your Command Career Counselor and or Detailer. Gates are displayed when you attempt to submit an application and must be acknowledged before the submission can be finalized. Acknowledged Gates are then captured in your Alert History, accessible through your Personnel Detail. CMS/ID displays the following Application Eligibility Gates: Who What Why Sailors who are not currently ACC Gate Only Sailors assigned the following ACC codes are serving in an approved eligible to negotiate orders for Active Duty jobs: CMS/ID indicates that you are not currently eligible to Accounting Category Code (ACC) negotiate orders.
