10. A tour in the school
The school in Osek is a single institution
managing two school buildings for the
education grades going from Nursery School to
Middle School.
The main building has two gyms, laboratories
and a canteen, that is also open to the
population outside the school at certain times.

Mostly the education system in this country
seems to have the same challenges ours has in
modern controversial times. The introduction of
more comprehensive education paths that
include and recognize students with special
needs has posed the same problems and
defies everywhere. During the visit this aspect
too was discussed.
20. The visit to Prague
We were led on a very interesting guided tour in
the centre of Prague and the Castle, the guide
gave us some very precious insights into the
history and the art of those places

HISTORY OF THE CASTLE
Karlštejn castle has an unique position among
Czech castles. It was founded in 1348 by the
Czech King and Holy Roman Emperor Charles
IV as a place for safekeeping of royal treasures,
especially Charles' collection of holy relics and
the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire.
The first documented stay of Charles IV. in the
castle was in 1355 when he came to supervise
the building works as well as the decoration of
interiors, particularly of the castle chapels. The
construction of the castle was finished in 1365
