2. The thermometer
● A thermometer is
assembled from a
bottle, food color,
water, alcohol and a
straw. The liquid
expands according to
the temperature in the
air and fills the straw
on which a scale is
drawn.

3. The Barometer
● The barometer is
made of a plastic jar
covered in rubber
taken by cutting a
balloon. The straw
works as a dial and its
position varies
according to viariation
of the pressure in the
air.

assembled from a
plastic jar, a rubber
balloon, a straw and

7. Science from everyday life objects
● Tradionally Igrometers used long women's hairs
to measure the humidity in the air. One girl
students is offering one of her hairs for the
experiment. The hair then is put into alcohol for
removing the fat. Hair tends to absorb humidity
from the air and change in size accordingly

scales drawn on
them. They are
copied from rulers.

then stuck to the
