A digital camera is an electronic device that records images digitally. To use a digital camera, you turn it on, set it to auto mode, focus on your subject, and press the shutter button to take a picture. You can view pictures on the camera's LCD screen. To transfer pictures to a computer, you install the camera's software, connect the camera to the computer with a USB cable, and use the software to import photos. Online photo sharing websites allow you to create an account to publish and share pictures with others.

1. HOW TO USE A DIGITAL
CAMERA?

2. HOW TO USE A DIGITAL CAMERA?
• A digital camera is an
electronic photo camera. Once
the photo is taken, the camera
will record, encode digitally
and store it for later
reproduction. In this way the
picture can be uploaded on
your computer.

3. HOW TO TURN IT ON?
• Insert the battery

4. Open the cover and insert memory card

5. Set the power switch to ON

6. HOW TO DO A PICTURE
• Set the mode dial to AUTO or
FULL AUTO - all the
necessary camera settings will
be set automatically.

7. • Focus the subject - Aim
the auto focus point over the
subject and press the shutter
button halfway to autofocus.
• Take the picture - press the
shutter button completely to
take the picture

8. • View the image - the captured image will be displayed for about 2/3
seconds on the LCD monitor.

9. HOW CAN I WATCH MY PICTURES?
• keep the shutter button fully
depressed after taking the
shot.

10. • Press the FUNC./SET or
DISP. button while the image
is displayed in the LCD
monitor

11. • To playback all the pictures
taken:
• set the mode dial to playback.
• display the image you wish to
view - use the ► button to
select the image.
• use the ►buttons to move
to the next image and the other
direction to move to the
previous image.

12. HOW CAN I GET THE PICTURE TO MY
COMPUTER (TRANSFER)?
• First you have to install the
sofware provided with the
camera in your computer (a
CD is provided with the
camera package) following the
instructions.
• you have to connect the
camera to your computer.
• use the supplied interface
cable.

13. • to connect the computer's USB
port.
• to the camera's Digital
terminal.

14. • open and plug the interface
cable.
• in all the way.

15. • set the mode dial to playback and turn on the power.

16. • Now the camera and computer
will be able to communicate:
• In the autoplay dialog box click
import pictures and videos or
copy picture to my computer.
• Follow the instructions provided
by the dialog box clicking "next"
or "ok"
• Select the folder where you
want to save it or open a new
folder and name it
• Tag your pictures if possible
• Click "import" or "next" or "ok" to
import pictures to your
computer/folder till the end of
the instructions provided.
Now the imported pictures
appear in your computer/folder.

17. HOW CAN I WATCH AND MODIFY THE
PICTURE TO MY COMPUTER?
• Once uploaded your pictures,
you have to open the
folder where you have saved
them and click on each of them
with the left mouse button
twice.
• Your pictures are like
documents, you can now open
it to watch or modify it,
depending of your computer
programs and the device you
use.

18. • Often there are photo gallery softwares preinstalled in your
computer like: office picture manager, paint, I Photo, etc. With those
you can manage, edit, share, and view your pictures from where you
store them on your computer.
• Attention!!! Don't loose your original pictures. While editing them, it
is better to save the new version with a name in a specific
new folder (which will be recognizable).

19. HOW DO I GET THE PICTURE TO THE
WEB?
• Sharing pictures with your friends is easy. You can send pictures by
e-mail or create a share point using internet.
•
There are many web sites for sharing photos on internet and/or
publish them. For example Flickr or Imageshack, are websites
where you can publish your photos by creating a personnal account.

20. • To create a personal account,
you must give your name,
surname, date of birth, country,
city and your e mail address.
You must also choose a
password. Each time you go
on the web site, you can
access your personal account
by providing your password.
• Once in your personal account,
you can publish your photos
and share them with your
selected friends.
