1. A study using data from the Pan-Andromeda Archaeological Survey finds that approximately half of the dwarf galaxy satellites orbiting the Andromeda galaxy are confined to a highly planar structure that is at least 400 kiloparsecs in diameter but only 14.1 kiloparsecs thick.
2. Radial velocity measurements reveal that 13 of the 15 dwarf galaxies within this structure share the same sense of rotation around Andromeda.
3. The existence of this thin, co-rotating planar structure of dwarf galaxies provides strong evidence that a significant fraction of satellite galaxies can have coherent orbital and angular momentum properties within their host galaxy.
