This study presents deep optical imaging of the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds (LMC and SMC) to investigate the stellar substructure in the LMC's outskirts, revealing asymmetrical structures and stellar arcs primarily caused by repeated tidal interactions with the SMC. The authors utilize simulations and observational data to assess the influence of these interactions and the Milky Way's tidal field on the stellar distributions within the LMC. Overall, the findings suggest that asymmetric structures are common around interacting dwarf galaxies and provide insights into their evolutionary history.
