2. 1. How does your media product
represent particular social groups?
3. Our media product represents the younger generation because the
main stars are young girls and the target audience is young adults. This
film shows revenge and we thought that the audience would enjoy this
film and the storyline to go with it.
4. 2. What kind of media
institution might distribute
your media product and why?
5. Our film was produced by a group of 4 teenagers it is highly unlikely
like a large Hollywood production such as warner Bros would
distribute our Media film. However although the film was made by
teenagers we would like to think the people that watch the opening
2 minutes like it and are intrigued by our storyline. I would also like
to think a channel such as channel 4 would distribute our film
because we have met the demands of what the audience want from
a film like ours and there would be no reason why our film couldn’t
be shown on television and see what the audience think of it. We
have met the normal genre conventions that are expected from a
film like ours.
6. 3. In what ways does your media
product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions
of real media products?
7. Our media product uses forms of real media products because of
credits, at the end of the two minute clip we have produced there
are credits which is something you will find in every single movie.
Another way is the genre that we chose; psychological thrillers are
a popular genre in the film industry. A great amount of research
was needed in order to decide what type of film we wished to
make. After the research we chose to do a psychological thriller
and look closely into what aspects we should include into our film.
