2. WHO ARE THE TARGET AUDIENCE -
HABITS/LIFESTYLE/MEDIA CONSUMPTION (NOT
JUST/AGE/GENDER/SKIN COLOUR)
The chosen target audience of our title sequence is fifteen to twenty-five year
olds, purely on the basis of the nature of the film and the themes that our film
addresses (i.e. school life, social groups and depression). This is a mass audience as
the age range is vast and the film is more inclined to make more money. However,
choosing this type of target audience was a hard process as we had to make sure
that we knew exactly what the audience would like. We had to debate as a group
and with the subject teachers, to who would really appreciate what our film was
trying to communicate. I, then, end up with a decision and we were able to move
on with the films progression. Also, for the film to be successful we needed to
choose a secondary audience. We look at all the themes and decided that this
audience would be also for between thirteen to eighteen year olds because they
can still relate to school life and the teenage life. In addition, we are looking for
audiences that quite enjoy Marvel comics, Japanese comics (anime/manga fans),
and also interested in horror films. This would really help the audience feel the
film itself (even if it is a very short video) and they would acknowledge the texture
of it. Otherwise, people with no interests in such of these stuff would not enjoy it
which ends up making the film pointless and quite awkward for everyone.

3. WHAT PRE-PRODUCTION RESEARCH DID
YOU CONDUCT WITH THEM?
The Pre-Production research that we have done were to research some Japanese
comics (or perhaps anime movies) in order to conduct it to out storyline. This helps
us to make the film with more interest and motivation since all the members in the
group took a wide interest on these type of things in their daily basis. Also, we have
also researched some gothic-style horror films that is focused on the teenager
audience. This gave us the opportunity to combine both styles into one because all
of our members liked manga style stories and horror films at the same time.
