2. Protagonist (Grace)
• We chose the name Grace for our main
character as it’s a virtue name which holds
positive perceptions –it’s an old fashioned
name and has deep roots to puritan ideals.
• it will emphasise the femininity and fragility of
the protagonist.
3. Personality aspects (which we want to
show through actress)
• Shy (more shy after death of friend)
• Vulnerable
• Emotionally fragile
Will be withdrawn /body language-
shoulders hunched ,never hold eye
contact, a nervous habit(fiddle with
hands, hair, etc.)
4. Grace –Make Up
Before friends’ death
• natural make up
• creamy pale
colours peaches,
pinks pastels, etc.
Grieving Phase
• Dark circles
under eyes
• Pale/gaunt
looking skin
5. Grace (Costume)
Before
• Casual and girly
After
• Baggy clothes like jumpers /lots of layers.
• Less feminine
Long hair –
waves/curls before
and poker straight
after –presents her
loss and adds serious
tone to character
6. The Antagonist/killer
Our killer is called Damien and was originally the
name associated with saints and martyrs but
gained negative connotations through the film,
The Omen -in which the name is used for the
son of the devil/antichrist. This name would be
ideal as the character is able to get close to the
protagonist, Grace trying to help her find the
killer while at the same time hiding his true
identity.
7. Costumes
The Costume for the murder scene
all black –especially want black leather gloves
and black coat
Clothes worn when character is with protagonist
Fairly casual –possibly navy and grey with
aspects of colour which can be emphasised.
8. The murdered friend
As she is the protagonist closest friend we
wanted her to be a social butterfly and so her
name had to fit her personality as she will only
be shown briefly and will only be known by her
name, So we decided to use the name Tiffany as
it has connotations to elegance due to the
popular brand Tiffany & Co. and the popularised
book turned movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s staring
Audrey Hepburn.
9. Make up
• Classic eyeliner flick reminiscent of Parisian
chic which will show the characters’ socialite
style personality before death.
• Red Lips to add/show sophistication
10. costume
• Preppy style –blazers, dress, trousers, shirts,
hair accessories, etc.
Colour palette-purple,pinks, white/cream, pastel
colours/monochrome-a sense of sophistication-
Parisian chic.
