5. ROLE OF GSC
The Grid System
Construction (GSC) is
responsible for arranging the
construction of 500 kV &
220 kV Grid Stations and
Transmission Lines Projects.
6. The main jobs of GSC include the following:-
1. To arrange funding from the International/Domestic and
smooth flow of funds.
2. To supervise the Construction & Commissioning of 500
kV & 220kV Transmission Lines & Grid Stations.
3. To supervise the construction of Interconnections for
IPPs.
4. To supervise the installation of metering system at cut
off points in various Discos of Energy transfer.
5. To maintain liaison between Project Authorities,
6. Funding Agencies and Consultants for the smooth
running of Project.
7. To attend Progress Review Meetings on behalf of CEO
NTDC with Authority and Government of Pakistan
8. To Provide great interaction with renowned suppliers,

10. To arrange FAT tests by nominating inspections for
EHV equipment's manufactured outside Pakistan.

ROW problem.
2. Route & Line Survey for Transmission Lines.
3. Arranging approval of Design & Drawings from the
Consultants.
4. Arrangement of construction materials.
5. Supervise International & Local Tenders for
construction of Grid Stations.
6. To monitor progress of Projects.
7. Commissioning of T/Lines & Grid Stations.
