Analysis (Who is the audience, and their characteristics? What do learners need to learn? Consider
learning environment, and delivery options).
Needs assessment- met with director to ascertain learner characteristics about RN/BSN
Nursing students.
• Not familiar with the latest educational platforms such as Blackboard, Moodle, etc.,
• Assistance with searching nursing databases.
• Assistance with evaluating resources and citing.
• Google Drive, Dropbox, Prezi.
Design Learning Objectives: (Content is determined during this phase).
Learners will be able to:
• Navigate Blackboard.
• Demonstrate how to access online resources germane to nursing.
• Identify core components of APA.
• Explain the difference between scholarly and peer-reviewed.
Design authentic learning activities reiterating learning objectives.
Development (Actual production of content; build content)
Create lecture content-handouts, and instructional videos. Will group work take place?

Implementation (Begin teaching)
Interaction phase
Students participate in authentic learning activities by creating viable solutions for
real-world nursing problem(s).
Evaluate Reflection, or brief assessment-

Analyze learners Non-Traditional, RN/BSN Nursing Students
• Kinesthetic learners
• Assistance with searching nursing databases.
• Assistance with evaluating resources and citing.
• Google Drive, Dropbox, Prezi.
State objectives (Explain what will the learner do to meet the learning objectives).
Learners will be able to:
• Demonstrate how to access online resources germane to nursing
• Identify core components of APA
Select, Modify, Design Methods, Media, &
Materials
Consider instructional methods: lecture, group work, etc. What media will you use:
computers, social media, etc.
(Equipment needed to complete this lesson is already in the classroom.)
Utilize methods, Media & Materials (How will you implement media materials?)
Preview all materials- review all materials.
Prepare class materials-
Prepare the environment- (Hospital with classroom capabilities or college campus).
Prepare the learners- Provide detailed instructions for class activities.
Prepare the experience-Implementation phase- teaching.
Require Learner Participation How will learners actively participate in the lesson, i.e., group work, games,
presentations, etc.
Evaluate and Revise How will you determine if the students met the specified learning outcomes?
How will you evaluate media effectiveness?
How will you evaluate the efficacy of your performance as a facilitator?

  • 1. Before ADDIE ** Instruction- not goal oriented, lacked focus. After ADDIE ** Instruction- much more focused and engaging. Analysis (Who is the audience, and their characteristics? What do learners need to learn? Consider learning environment, and delivery options). Needs assessment- met with director to ascertain learner characteristics about RN/BSN Nursing students. • Not familiar with the latest educational platforms such as Blackboard, Moodle, etc., • Assistance with searching nursing databases. • Assistance with evaluating resources and citing. • Google Drive, Dropbox, Prezi. Design Learning Objectives: (Content is determined during this phase). Learners will be able to: • Navigate Blackboard. • Demonstrate how to access online resources germane to nursing. • Identify core components of APA. • Explain the difference between scholarly and peer-reviewed. Design authentic learning activities reiterating learning objectives. Development (Actual production of content; build content) Create lecture content-handouts, and instructional videos. Will group work take place? Will you need computers? Implementation (Begin teaching) Interaction phase Students participate in authentic learning activities by creating viable solutions for real-world nursing problem(s). Evaluate Reflection, or brief assessment- Assessment question: What did you learn from this session? What questions do you still have?

ASSURE Analyze learners Non-Traditional, RN/BSN Nursing Students • Kinesthetic learners • Assistance with searching nursing databases. • Assistance with evaluating resources and citing. • Google Drive, Dropbox, Prezi. State objectives (Explain what will the learner do to meet the learning objectives). Learners will be able to: • Demonstrate how to access online resources germane to nursing • Identify core components of APA Select, Modify, Design Methods, Media, & Materials Consider instructional methods: lecture, group work, etc. What media will you use: computers, social media, etc. (Equipment needed to complete this lesson is already in the classroom.) Utilize methods, Media & Materials (How will you implement media materials?) Preview all materials- review all materials. Prepare class materials- Prepare the environment- (Hospital with classroom capabilities or college campus). Prepare the learners- Provide detailed instructions for class activities. Prepare the experience-Implementation phase- teaching. Require Learner Participation How will learners actively participate in the lesson, i.e., group work, games, presentations, etc. Evaluate and Revise How will you determine if the students met the specified learning outcomes? How will you evaluate media effectiveness? How will you evaluate the efficacy of your performance as a facilitator?
