3. Online and Interactive Opportunities
• Employees will be required to complete online
training modules about Confidentiality and Its
Importance. These training modules will have
tests, at the end, where employees are
required to get a certain percentage of correct
answers. A monitoring system will also
monitor the answers the employee gives and
cross reference them to see if the company
may be at risk by continuing to employ the
individual.
• Employees will also be required to attend
training discussion panels where employees
can discuss advances or changes in medical
record keeping programs, changes in policies,
as well as share experiences with how it is best
to handle and exchange certain patient
information.
• It’s important to maintain a healthy teach cycle
within the work environment.
• Employees develop and learn the best habits
from one another!!!!!
4. Big Brother Always Knows
• Employees have the right to be informed about employer monitoring. Maintaining
patient confidentiality is of the utmost importance and monitoring tactics WILL be
used to ensure the mistreatment of patient information does not occur.
• Employees will be forced to use unique logins when accessing certain information
• Employees will be encouraged to be sure to only use their unique logins when
accessing systems for information, there is always a trail revealing where the
employee has been.
5. Big Brother + Audits and You
• Random audits will be used to assess whether or not information is being
accessed and used in the proper fashion.
• Management is to use a two tier system to reprimand employees caught
breaching patient confidentiality; 1) warning 2) employee termination.
• Patient confidentiality is taken quite seriously and if an employee breaks
the rules twice the company will not risk any chances by permitting a third
chance.
6. Support the Right Habits
Team members need to support each other!
Work together to keep patient’s information SAFE
Our jobs are to keep our patients healthy. We should not be
adding the stress of confidential breaches onto them.
Don’t be afraid to point out mistakes
(your team members may not have been aware they made one!)
Employees should work together, the right way, to show patients
how trustworthy and reliable the company can be!
