2. Service and Integration Management (SIAM) in the public sector survey 2014
!
The Survey
!
Over the past few months, IT leaders across the public sector have been
searching for new ways of working that would enable them to deliver services that
are fit for use in the 21st century.
Recently, Enfield Council became the first local authority in the UK to adopt a
service integration and management (SIAM) model. According to the council, the
move to SIAM is anticipated to cut overall IT costs by a quarter. With public sector
cuts expected to continue, it is now more important than ever for public sector
organisations to consider the benefits of using SIAM to deliver a flexible end-to-end
service.
Our 'Service Integration and Management (SIAM) in the public sector survey 2014',
considered how SIAM is currently viewed within the public sector, the challenges
organisations hope to address through SIAM, and the barriers they have
experienced to introducing it.
